White House website

  1. Has anyone else seen the new website well it's not all that different besides the people running the nation now Donald Trump, Mike Pence ect. Now besides that the civil rights part of the website was removed less then an hour after Trump's inauguration now I only make this thread to inform everyone cause it is pretty alarming and I wanna see the new civil rights under Trump as well, but the civil rights part that was removed included the Gender equality, LGBT, and police reform issues this part of the website is very important, this also comes as a surprise as Trump's Supreme Court nomination is a person who believes that homosexuality is a crime and should be punished with a minimum of 5 years in prison. Anyway back to kawing.

Ty for taking time to read this.

  2. nobody's going to jail for being homosexual but I don't personally support the idea that federal government should medal with states rights on the matter.

I really don't understand the big deal with gay marriage though. As long as the government isn't forcing churches to open to their doors to it I see no reason a gay couple can't be designated as "together" for tax purposes.

  3. The homophobes would have gotten away with it, if it wasn't for the medalling federal government... Ruh roh

  4. Are you in cahoots with x_x? Someone changes something on a website and all of a sudden the laws changed as Well?nah

  5. It is way more than being together for tax purposes. It is the recognition that we are all equal. Organized religion have created this distinction of us vs them. And if you fall in the "them column" you are going to some form of hell. It is a way of controlling people and has nothing to do with the spirituality of all religions. The minute we don't offer the same rights/freedoms and opportunities for everyone we as a society lose. Stripping of those rights is not acceptable and has fallen on governments to stand up and protect those rights.

  6. Yes the whitehouse website is a blog of sorts so thing like that get deleted.

  7. Ha I wish that was the case yet it isn't the white house website is a website for all current topics the government is working on more specifically the executive branch

And spooky it's illegal in several countries for homosexuality including this nation, it was made legal in the 70s and it's easy to overturn if Trump gets the justices to say it's unconstitutional to be a homosexual which is a horrifying thought yet a thought that can come to pass in a year or 2

  8. I didn't know someone else made a thread like this now I feel this is just a rip off.....Oh well lol

  9. I'm just referring to conspiracy theories. I really don't think any of that is in jeopardy just because it came down from a website. We jump to too many conclusions too quickly

  10. I highly doubt the gay marriage dispute will ever resolve between those in favor and those opposed, because while the arguments use the same word, "marriage," the perceived meaning of that word is fundamentally different on either side of the issue.

The conventional Christian "marriage" is essentially a pact between and man and a woman and God. In this view, marriage is a divine rite that cannot be ordained by God if it's convoluted with their idea of sin. Allowing gay marriage doesn't make sense at all in this view, because how can something that violates the principles of a belief system be sanctioned by that system? It's illogical.

That being said, those in favor of gay marriage see this as discrimination against homosexuals. Pro gay marriage doesn't mean a conventional Christian marriage (although I'm sure very many proponents of this exist), however. But it does mean marriage. Like in a church, by a priest. Why would somebody who is homosexual WANT to be married under a system of belief that labels them as hell bound sinners? I don't understand. That is exactly why Christians offer a "tax purposes" form of civil union instead of marriage, which is, of course, seen as more discrimination against homosexuals.

Essentially, I'm curious whether being pro gay marriage means forcing churches to allow homosexuals to be married under the same ceremonial rites as straight couples, or if it is another, equal but different form of marriage.

Let's not get into the topic of hypocritical adulterers and divorcees getting married. I personally think they shouldn't be able to violate their own beliefs, but just because they do doesn't mean that others should be able to also.

  11. You made good points but the thing is most homosexual couples just want to get married and you don't need a priest to get married you can go to a courthouse file all the necessary documents and you are married and the only thing about a priest and marriage is because people think only priests can marry a couple yet that isn't quite true

All in the Bible it is necessary for a Christian same as a Muslim to not just deny a homosexual couple marriage but to openly attack them which is also not that well known because it paints a bad picture of the Christian and Catholic churches and if we get rid of the civil rights of anytype of people be LGBT, or any people based on their race it will be a horrifying step in the wrong direction

And modspock I can understand your point of view on this and I didn't create the thread for any conspiracy theories just to inform people about the changes on the White House's website

  12. Assuming the seperation of church and state, and religous freedom are taken seriously*InsertMoonFace*

Government would not be able to force a church to marry a gay couple. If the couple can't find a church in their area they could always hold a simple ceremony at a courthouse or even a large ceremony at a privately owned venue.

  13. Why are you guys harassing me?

I didn't post anything on this thread or about this thread

Can't wait to see what his POTUS comments are in the upcoming years 

  16. Please. Everytime there's a new president, everything on the site gets changed.

  17. Actually Obama didn't change anything in less than an hour after inauguration he changed it overtime everything that was on the civil rights section stayed there but he did add on to it

  18.
  19.
  20. I literally just said Im okay with gays being together ("married"). Just dont force that upon a church. Gays get no extra privelage/rights from doing it inside of a church and no less from doing it outside of one. So why force that? They can do it in a court and have the exact same legal right as a strait couple and still celebrate it with a traditional wedding just not in a church/institution that does not accept it. It is against most religions core values and it has no place in them.
