Some say that war is the only way. Fight for what you need, to survive another day. The need will soon evolve to greed. And those who are strong, will crush those who are weak. Caught in the fight, far too deep, No help will come. The world is blind and asleep. Women and children shall weep, While the victors reap the plunders, for the men are all dead and gone: lost to the war One day a nation shall rise and destroy the evil for their blunders. The allies are far too wise to fall to such a level. As they revel in victory, their morals sink as low as the devil. But they are on top, untouchable. They become corrupt, no longer does anyone believe their lies. Likewise, it is easily surmised…. The world is well on it’s way to absolute demise. Found this in an old poetry contest book i made it into back in eigth grade and felt the need to share with everyone
Wow. I didn't know you were such a pessimist! lol jk <3 This is really good Goo. I love it. Did you win?
I feel as if now i could make it much better, flow better and rhyme more without being forced since my writing and word skills have improved greatly since i wrote this. But i copied straight outta the book it was in...
since you didn't answer my question i'm guessing that's a no? the flow is fine the way it is in my opinion, it's smooth, not choppy. No need to improve it really. Write another one :3
Well, it wasn't really a thing to see who gets 1st, 2nd, 3rd. It was a poetry contest for middle school students to submit crap they wrote and if it didn't suck, you got into a book and "won" although no one really "won" anything other than being in the book.
Yes. It's sold nationally and has hundreds of poems in it from middle school students around the country.
