Anxiously she sat at the desk. It was eerily quiet as she'd been staring at the blank page on the computer screen for some time. Her hands in mid air stiffly above the keyboard, were beginning to tremble once more. Her index finger headed toward a letter but she pulled it away in a jerking motion. It was as if that by merely touching a letter on the keyboard, it would result in some punishment she would be unable to bear. She let out a deliberate heavy sigh that ended in a slightly loud growl that both surprised her and the only other person in the computer lab. She mouthed an apology to him and chuckled quietly to herself feeling a little embarassed yet entertained by that awkward moment. "Back to work", she thought, also worthy of a chuckle as she had not started any work to go back to. She repositioned herself in the chair, "Upright posture", she thought sarcastically, "Mom would be proud." She shook her body in a light shimmy motion, as though physically trying to shake away anxiety and distracting thoughts. "So stupid!", she yelled under her breath to herself. She knew that the people who would read this were going to all be strangers, people she didn't know and would never meet. This made her nervousness all the more frustrating. She had always loved to write but never shared it with anyone who hadn't practically begged to read it. Writing, for her, was therapeutic. Even though it might take a few minutes to write a short poem, the feelings she had to acknowledge in order to write those words would last forever. Now, she was about to share this part of her. She let out a sigh, closed her eyes and slowly let her hands lead themselves to the keyboard. Her fingertips landed lightly on the row of keys. Familiar to her. Safe. She could feel her pulse begin to return from it's rapid pace, back to normal. Her hands were no longer trembling. She opened her eyes slowly and faced the blank page on the screen directly. She smiled as she felt the pleasantly familiar exhilration from thoughts brainstorming rapidly in her head. She nodded slightly yet assuringly. She consciously stopped at a thought as though she'd finally found a file she was searching for. She was ready. She leaned in a began to write her virgin thread... **Hopefully it's somewhat clear by the end, the meaning of the title and that's it talking about me. This Is my first share, hope it was at least mildly interesting....** xoxo
