Welcome to my new story Tram! Post feedback in specified feedback thread. Chapter One "Come on! Just do it!" Justin called out. I was on the roof, staring at Justin, staring at his short blond hair, freckled face, typical features of a Seven year old country boy. "Come on! Do it Kenneth!" he shouted again. This time, I was staring at my target, my pool. I ran, feeling the adrenaline rush as I jumped, the fall was short, but seemed long. The wind was mild, but when falling, it felt strong. I was almost at the water when I had this sudden thought that maybe this was not such a good idea, my pool was 4 feet deep after all. When I hit the water, I felt a huge pain searing through my leg. Then I opened my eyes, found myself in the grass with my left leg bent at a ninety degree angle about half a foot below my knee. I saw the pool two feet in front of me. My mom started running out of the house screaming. She came towards me and picked me up. "Kenneth!" She shouted "are you okay?" I felt tears forming in my eyes and started trying to hold them back while thinking that I need to be strong. There was no use. The tears started rushing out my eyes and down my face. I started to cry. "Oh Kenneth!" My mom cried "I'm so sorry" "Mrs. Sanders, I am so very sorry!" Justin said "You! Get out of here this instant!" My mom yelled "I do not want to see your punk ass in or around this house ever again! I forbid you to associate with Kenneth!" Justin turned around and walked with his head down through the back gate. "It's okay Kenneth, I'm going to take you to the hospital." The thought of going to the hospital in addition to the pain shooting through my leg made me faint. I woke up in a bright white hospital bed, there was a small television hanging from the ceiling that was on Channel 8 News and a window with the white blinds hanging down. A blonde female nurse opened the door and smiled at me. Her teeth were pearly white, her eyes blue. She was beautiful. "Hi!" She said "I'm Jessica, I have been taking care of you. Glad to see you are awake!" She opened the blinds and the sun burned my eyes, I used my arms to shield myself from the light. "Sorry" Jessica said. Jessica grabbed a small remote from one of the three chairs in the room, pointed it at the window and started repeatedly pressing a button. I looked at the window and saw that with each press of the button, the window became more shaded, allowing some, but not all light to travel through. I moved my arms away from my face and started watching the television. "Jessica, can you turn this up, please?" I asked. "Sure!" She said. She walked out and my eyes followed her, she was then greeted by my mom, who was right outside the door. Jessica whispered something in my mom's ear and walked off. "How are you doing honey?" Mom asked "My leg feels better." I replied I turned back to watch the news. A brunette woman named Sarah O'Neil was talking. "...engineers are calling this idea revolutionary! We have asked them many questions and only a few weren't answered with "that is classified" I cannot wait until this is complete. Now let's go over to Peter who is right now, talking with one of the engineers." Suddenly, two men appeared on the screen. One was wearing a hard hat and the other one was not. The man on the right started talking. "So, Richard is it?" "Yes" Richard replied "How long do you expect this project will be complete?" "Well, Peter. This will be a very long project, because we have to build train tracks to circle the entire planet, even through oceans and have it maintain the same metal and the same height. So that means we need very tall columns for the ocean and a hell of a lot of dynamite to blow holes in the mountains or higher elevations. We also need to use a metal that can withstand temperatures up to 20,000,000,000 degrees Fahrenheit so when the train reaches just below the speed of light, the tracks will not melt due to the friction. So between all of that, I will have to estimate that this project will be completed in roughly 30 years." "Wow! Well what will the purpose of this train be?" Peter asked. "This will allow us to travel into the future. It will feel like a plane ride to another planet, when really it is a train ride to the future!" he said. "That is amazing, thank you for your time!" Peter said. I shut the television off and looked at my mom; she looked back at me. "It's really possible mom?" I asked.
