Hey folks, This is an overview of various tech I have devised. 1. Use of ccd or cmos interspersed in touchscreen , these would sense fingers blocking light and use software to pinpoint location and activate virtual buttons. In low light condition it would reverse this method and detect reflection from finger of light emitted by screen 2. Em field detects finger Em field as it passes through then software then picks virtual screen position and activates program. Power hog 3. Electrically conductive paint which would be see through coats bottom of screen protector. The way it works is a passive detection system where your finger or pen Electromagnetic field would stimulate pixels touched which activates it then it sends signal to be processed by software. Low energy use option How does this affect gaming. The passive technique could increase battery life by 5+ % hopefully and 1 hour over the fully active power hog. Talk about extra game time
You use a 3d printer to print the pixels on the protector and the current pathways. This 3d printers are still in r&d but should be available to manufacturers in a year from request and spec completed.
I've also questioned this, wouldn't the phone mainly have to be in a flat down position for the light detection to work properly?
