Today is a day of reflection. Whether it is a neighbor, friend, community icon, or family, we all know of a soldier who has served to protect all we hold close. Regardless of race, religion, creed or political party...we all live in a country that has provided freedom to all its inhabitants. That freedom has been protected by the men and women of the United States Armed Forces. Today, seek out a veteran and thank them. Visit the graves of the fallen who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Remember them. Honor them. To my brothers and sisters in uniform here and abroad...be safe, be mighty, and come home to your country who loves you! We'll be here drinking to your honor!!
Australia supports! Cos we are an even younger country Also, this is actually a very serious thread.
Veterans Day coincides with Remembrance Day and Armistice Day. But Veterans Day is an official American holiday and the specific holiday I am celebrating with this thread. Feel free to create a thread honoring the other days if you like! Honor Veterans Day on this one, please. Thanks!
It evolved from it, though both simultaneously are celebrated. SOURCE: Wiki, if you're interested here is a link
Willy, I never thought you were capable of being serious. I thought sarcasm was your blood. I am proud to support this thread
Support, I'm related to quite a few veterans and if they played kaw they would surely like this thread.
Its nice to see that we (military people) get recognized for what we do. Although we risk our lives for the safety of the people, its nice to get stuff back from it! I can speak for all veterans and new soldiers, that we are pleased with this threath!
