Watching the weather forecast should be a mundane task. One where getting a little information, that may be relevant to the viewer and their location or intended locations is a helpful guide. The BBC courtesy if Carol Kirkwood has just changed that. The question is for better or worse? I wanted to publish the entire article on here but that would result in my being perm banned probably. And here I should apologise to the devs and the mods. Because I know it's advised we don't bypass even using the stars to replace words. But lets be honest. This post would be meaningless if you couldn't understand what a potty mouth our dear Carol is. The BBC has announced that there will be no punishment for popular weather presenter Carol Kirkwood’s use of the phrase ‘cold as .’ She used the phrase during an outside broadcast on a hill in the North York Moors on Friday morning in response to a question from colleague Bill Turnbill. “And now to Carol for the weather,” said the avuncular bee-keeper. “Carol, it looks a bit chilly where you are?” “That’s right Billy,” she responded chirpily. “It’s cold as .” “I’m sorry?” replied a visibly shocked Turnbill. “Cold. As. .” She repeated, forcefully. “ cold. cold. Cold as an eskimo’s . Cold as a witch’s . Cold enough to worry any monkeys. It is abso--lutely cold as .” “I see,” stammered Mr Turnbill. “Um, so is there any detail on the forecast for-” “No. Cold as . Probably some rain in Scotland and the North, I mean, I haven’t checked but it’s a fair assumption. Now, this, I’m going to get off this God-forsaken blasted heath and try and find somewhere in this hellish backwater with the ability to make a decent cup of coffee.” She then dropped the mic and stalked off muttering about being a proper scientist, not a performing penguin. The BBC has issued a statement saying there would be no sanction for Miss Kirkwood because “after investigation we have discovered that on the North York Moors on Friday morning, it was indeed cold as .” Now this was highly amusing as rants go. Is it acceptable of the BBC and their high standards. Well apparently yes. Even though hitting staff thankfully is frowned upon still Now all we need is for them to follow other weather forecasters and the BBC will truly come of age. Edit Just been googling it further to check the source. original source newsthump. If true funny as. If not. Good hoax and still entertaining
Proof is hard to find on this one. The source would suggest a hoax unfortunately. But it made me laugh, so I'm glad I shared it.
And she knows it. You could google her busty comments on YouTube She should not look down whilst presenting the weather
Norway has better ashes. But I can't find an image I could post Sorry Charlie I cannot confirm either way. It's all over Facebook and on google with one site suggesting real and one suggesting hoax. As such take it for the humour and hope standards improve. How they should improve is up to the viewer
Ashes that just scarred me for life. Please control yourself. Though I'm sure someone appreciates the post. I just don't know who
