the need for scouting.

  1. I see several reports of scouting during OSW's on forums lately.

This makes sense only in a few instances IMO,
but please advise if I'm missing something.

1 - to clear a pure spy of troops
2 - to clear spies AFTER assassinates and steals stop working.

The reason I'm so dead set against scouting is that it bypasses sdp. One of the strategies in war is to burn SDP.

Regular defense pots don't burn as fast because you get pinned. Sdp in 1000's can be burned off in an hour easily. I've had it happen before.

So what are you guys doing with the scouts that's so darn awesome people are reporting it?

  2. Hi Swabs :)

  3. Yes hi swabby

  4. Sct mechs changed. I would personally never burn a potential strip target. But I scout Bomb spies all day long swab. Keeps them from enjoying their game. Also some people may be doing it to attk builds for their achievement bonuses. That's pretty nOobish and selfish, but meh, you run into those people occasionally

  5. I'm pretty sure you have the situations covered Swabia. Those are the only times when I scout.

  6. Oh, clearing history. That's legit. I did it only once though when I stripped an osf and blamed Corinthian.

  7. Sorry if I am wrong. But I think that when you scout the enemy successfully they loses more of their troops on ratio to their to full troop count then you do. Thus making it where you can pin their spies. As long as your active without them being able to do anything to defend themselves. Via SPD pots not defending scouts.

  8. Why wouldn't you burn sdp if you planned a strip? More wins= more strip, and easier wins=more of your lower spies get hits in.

Still not seeing a valid argument

  9. I NEVER scout or assass strip targets. Only if 1v1 and aiming to cut off a hansels growth completely.

  10. Im on Swab's side this time. Burn their sdp with assassinations and steals.

  11. Another good thing is self KO and annoying opponent.

  12. Renegade, punctuation and engrish are not your friends.

Scouting isn't the best spy percent burn. Successfully assassinating is. It also burn troops and pots, and can be used on a pure spy.

  13. Sorry swab I completely nOober my comment up. I meant never would I sct a potential strip target. Fail assn all the way to burn max sdp. Only time I steal to burn sdp is if the target is pinned. I only sct spy builds to keep them zeroed

  14. English* lol sorry

  15. You zero a hansels spies for a few hours they will CF after a while. Happens to me 8/10 times.

  16. You can KO an opponent AND burn their pots AND do it with less actions AND not look like a noob, AND steal some money OR reduce their troops.

    Why pick the worst option?

  17. I find it stupid why people steal when in WAR. Obviously opponent has banked? What's the point stealing a tiny amount? I'd rather keep them pinned both bars with assass, and steal when they have a decent amount out that's worth taking.

  18. Why zero spies with scouts instead of actions which are more efficient?

90 scouts or 20 assassinates on a hansel. Same result plus pot burn plus potential troop loss from wins.

  19. Engrish is not my friend. Though I am quite fond of proper grammar. But as I was in a rush to post that comment I fell sloppy. Sorry I will not slip up again.

  20. You can't assass if bellow 20% troops...
