Imagine this. You're born January 17th, 1994. You're currently a 20 year old conjoined twin. Your sibling is attached to your hip. Literally. You share a pelvis. Your dating this really hot 19 year old model. They doesn't mind your abnormal body. They also doesn't mind your sibling tagging along for literally every date and such. But, your twin is incredibly jealous. They secret plot to murder your lover. You have a date tonight. You give them a rose. Your twin suddenly stabs your date twice in the chest! You try to stop it; and you pull out your cell phone to call the cops. By the time everything is under control, and the cops arrive, your twin is arrested. But there is a problem. They do not know what to do. There is no corporal punishment in this state. And they don't feel you should go to jail, as you tried to stop it and you called the authorities. You did everything possible to stop this. But your twin is attached to you. And they cannot do a separation surgery because their attorney claims it's unjust, as a surgery like that would kill one of you; and the judge ruled in her favor. So... What now? Let you and you twin live free? Or send you both to prison? What do you think would happen?
One would live without a pelvis? Edit: For the sake of argument, let's just say there would be complications making it an extremely risky surgery and the judge ruled it unjust
they have successfully seperated twins that were joined at the heart and at the head. I highly doubt that if 2 can live from that, the pelvis would cause guaranteed death.
To be honest, but its unfair for the good twin to live like that. Sounds like he had a life set and ready, or was trying. My opinion, it's time to let go of the bad one
There is a quote by someone. Idr who. But it is "It is better to send 10 guilty men free than to imprison 1 innocent man."
Likely, it would be imprisonment for them both. Public safety: they cannot let a murderer roam free, even if it costs them a normal life of the other brother. Though as said before, in reality, they should be able to separate them.
