I thought I was dreaming, I was I was because I didn't recognize anything around me. The sun disappeared over the horizon, leaving blackness in it's place above my head. I knew I was lost and with little supplies. A water bottle and a small lunch in a little satchel and the clothes on my back was all I had. The only thing to guide me was the stars. I was heading north, where I hoped to find shelter and civilization.

  2. Chapter 1

I woke up and was determined to find out if the childhood horror stories I heard were true or not. The story was hundreds of years old. The story was that in the center of the forest behind my house, there is a package there. Anyone that touches the package will disappear forever. My name is Alex and this is my story.
I packed my lunch while eating a quick breastfast. I wanted to get out of the house as fast as I could, I wanted to know the truth.
I ran out the door and headed to the forest. I already knew where I was going, so I enjoyed the seenery. It was spring, the trees flowering and the air smelled of pollen. I saw the trees give way up ahead.
As I approached the clearing I noticed it was very bright. I saw something in the distance. I could hardly see it...it was...a girl.
She had black hair, brown eyes, tan skin, and a pair of jeans with a camo patterned, spagetti strap, cami on. The scariest part was she was holding a flat package wrapped in brown paper, and it was the same one from the childhood horror stories, because, it was unopenable.

  3. Chapter 2

I started running toward her, I didn't know what that package contained.
"Who are you?" she yelled when she heard my footsteps.
"Alex. What is..." I started to ask when we were interrupted
"Give me that!" the boy demanded as he took the package.
He had messy brown hair, fair skin, green eyes tinted with worry, and a pair of jeans and a black jacket.
"Give that back!" the girl yelled taking the package back.
"I'm not sure what..." the boy started to say as he grabbed the package.
    "She said give I

  4. "She said give it back!" I interupped pulling the package towards the girl and I. Then all I could see was the boy, the girl, the package, and my hand. Everything disappeared as a white light blinded the rest. Then, things got creepy from there.

  6. Chapter 3

Suddenly, an invisible person was tracing our hands in some sort of black ink. I tried to remove my hand my hand, but it was stuck to the package! The bottem of the package fell and revealed what was inside, three grey, super shiney, stones.

The brown paper unstuck from our hands and was replaced by the stones. They started changing colors in our hands. The boy's turned different shades of green, the girls turned different shades of blue, and my turned different shades of red and orange.

While the stones changed color, a small brown paper tornado was forming and becoming bigger until it was up to my waist. I was blinded as the white light brightened. The tornado was pulling me in! The three of us struggled against the pull, but it was too strong. We were sucked into the tornado as the white light disappeared. That was when I blacked out and my world turned black, every feeling replaced by numbness.

  8. Chapter 4

I thought I was dead, I couldn't feel or hear my heart beating, I felt disconnected from my body.

Well, I wasn't dead because I woke up, and it wasn't a dream because I was looking up at the night sky. I sat up and looked around trying to figure out where I was. I was in a clearing like the one I had just left, it wasn't the same one but I couldn't pick out the reason. Maybe because it looked like something from a dream, though, this whole day felt like a dream.

It was night time so I needed to find some place I could sleep. I headed north, following the stars, hoping to find someone to help me.

I was walking through the forest when it hit me, the trees had green leaves on them! I knew right then that I was in unknown territory, who knew what was hiding in here.

I continued walking and I probably walked for an hour when I heard a rustling noise in the trees. Then an arrow whistled an inch away from my face. I was running before the arrow hit the ground.

I could hear my pursuers running through the trees behind me. I kept running, hoping I could outrun them, I was sadly mistaken.

"Freeze or I shoot!" an invisible voice demanded, "Who are you and what are you doing in the woods near our kingdom tonight?"

I...I'm Alex," I explained while I stuttered, horrified, "I woke up in the middle of the woods and I don't know where I am and I'm trying to find help! Please don't hurt me!"

"Come with me." the man said revealing himself, "Don't try to escape or I'll kill you."

He held a daggerto my throat as we walked. I was bubbling over with questions but I didn't ask because I didn't want him to hurt me.

We approached the city, maybe it was a kingdom. We were let in as the people gave me nasty looks like I had committed a crime. A massive building stood behind another set of gates. We were headed there, probably, to my death.

  12. There were, at least, one hundred steps leading up to the castle that was about to become my prison. My mind started to wonder while we climbed the mountain of steps...I'd probably never go home and no one would know where I was. Where was the other boy and girl? Had they been found too? What was going to happen to me?

I made one more attempt to escape, struggling, kicking and screaming. I knew I was going to die if he lead me in to that castle.

"Bad idea, little girl." the man whispered into my ear.

I didn't let up, I was going to die anyway, why not speed up the process. Then he took his dagger and stabbed my right leg.

I collapsed as the man let me go and turned away from me. Did he look ashamed? It looked like he couldn't believe what he'd done.

Well, he came to his senses and carried me into the castle. He carried me down a long fight of stairs into a dungeon. He carried me to one of the cells and chained my hands and feet to the wall, at least 4 feet off the ground.

He took his dagger out of his leg and left, locking the door behind him. I was left bleeding, there was so much blood...everything was so red...then it was black.

    Chapter 6

The next thing I remember is hearing whispers, I couldn't make any words out but I could hear them. There were two people in the room with me that were talking.

"Rise and shine." a girl said.

I looked around and found myself in a very, very small room. My hands and feet were tied to a chair. I was still in pain from the stab, but someone has wrapped a cold cloth around it so it wasn't too bad.

"John, I'm telling you she's human! She in every way human possible! Ask her?!?!?!" the girl said

"Elly, we r supposed to watch her, not ask her questions. If she's human..." my captor, John started saying.

"IF?!?!?! I'm human and if you aren't then what are you?!?!?!" I yelled

"Come on, we need to go." John said as he untied me, "We need to have a word with the King. Elly, run ahead and ask the guards to let us in, you'll make it there first."

Elly nodded and ran faster than I could ever run. John held onto me as he dragged me forward because me being human was something that needed to be addressed immediately.

We reached the doors and Elly was waiting there. We walked in to see the King, the most scary thing that happened yet.

  14. Chapter 7

The room was beautiful with crystal chandeliers, velvet thrones with edged with gold, tiled floors that took my breath away...the situation, however, was the exact opposite. The king was a sad lonely soul, the tension and sadness could be felt in the air as the servants attended his needs.

"John, what is it this time? Please make it quick, I'm in no mood for games today." the king asked in a dull tone.

"Your majesty, I have found out a horrible thing, this girl Alex," he said gesturing to me, "is a human being from the planet Earth. The barrier has been broken."

You could have heard a pin drop in that room. No one even dared to breath, the situation was scary, to these aliens.

"How much does she know?" the king asked, very composed.

    "Nothing." John replied.

"John, I need to talk to you privately. Elly, take Alex to get her leg fixed." the king ordered.

Elly ruffly pushed me out the door and down the hall. She steered me into a room that looked like a hospital room. She fixed me up and dragged me to the entrance of the castle. John had backpacks all ready and had another friend with him.

"Let's go get some supplies, we leave tomorrow at sunrise." John said flatly, "It's about time we destroy those stones."

  15. Chapter 8

"Who's this?" I asked John suspiciously.

This person had blonde shaggy hair, dirty clothes, and an interesting scar on his forehead mostly hidden by his hair. He had a short, sharp curved sword that had blood stains on it.

"This is Utho. He will be accompanying us." John quickly said, "We need to get a few more supplies and then we will crash for the night."

We walked down the steps, there was no evidence of our incident two days ago. Two days, I wonder who will notice me missing. I decided this wasn't a dream, this was real. Unreal that was real.

We stopped at a table full of weapons. John eyed me, encouraging me to pick a few weapons. Was he CRAZY!?!? Why would a twelve year old girl need a weapon?!?!

I picked up a sharp dagger, it felt right, I guess. John picked up a bow and gave it to me. He picked good one, it was perfect. I picked up a sheath of assorted arrows, regular, poison, exploding, and a lot more.

John led us to an inn of some sort, got us rooms, and gave me a backpack of supplies. He then left me to sleep, promising to get me in the morning.

Someone was sitting next to me on the bed. I was afraid because they could be trying to kill me, I was very aware in this place. Grabbing my dagger, I was about to stab when I recognized Utho.

"Are you trying to kill me?" he whispered quietly.

"I'm afraid of this place. I want to go home." I lied quietly.

"You may be different from me, but I can see your lying to me." he said worried now, "What are you hiding from me and everyone else you have met?"

  16. Chapter 9

    "It's stupid. You wouldn't care." I mumbled.

"I already have seen your nightmares, I...um..." Utho explained.

"My nightmares? What gave I walked into?!?!?" I exclaimed.

"Dream world." he answered regretting it already.

Right then we were interrupted by John. I grabbed my weapons and supplies and followed him out of the inn to a stable.

He lifted me on to a chocolate brown horse. It had a fiery temper that somehow I controlled. John, Utho, and I headed out of the city, leaving very quickly, John was in a big hurry to get somewhere.

A few hours later, we could see another city. John insisted we walked on foot. He looked very aware with a dagger in his hand.

We heard a small rustle in the bushes. I immediately pulled my bow out and was ready to fire when I heard a high pitched laugh.

    "Fairies." Utho muttered quietly.

"Welcome human hunters. I'm Sarah, and we are fae, thank you Utho." Sarah introducing herself, "We have a girl you are looking for, I believe. No need to worry Alex, I already know your human."

I was astonished because I was worried about her not knowing, freaky. It seems like everyone was inside my head lately.

"I can do magic, like most other fae. I can feel emotions of others, I also have other abilities but we must go. Try to keep up." Sarah explained to me blandly.

We were speeding to the city, another mystery had to be awaiting me there. I was sure I was going to be in some trouble soon.
