Guide to Farming

This guide uses logic, the dictionary, and grammar. I don't think you can argue with that.

So, there is a common issue in Kingdoms at WAR, and that is the whole issue of farming. So what is farming? Farming is hitting someone, excluding scouts, over 5 times a day, for 2 or more consecutive days. Now before you tell me I've missed something or are wrong, let me say this: Farming isn't the whole issue. Farming is a term, that over time, has been twisted, and stretched, to cover an issue it wasn't ment to. This issue is conflict. Conflict is the roughness between players.

So farming is just one small issue of conflict. Let's start with the base of the problem. This is Kingdoms at WAR, and we are meant to fight, and have conflict. The bread and butter of this is agression and retaliation. Agression is hitting someone for no particular reason. This is okay. Retaliation is hitting someone back for any type of percieved agression. So agression is easy; simply attacking some random dude. For retaliation, it is essentially whatever you want it to be. Maybe you're a chill guy, and you only care if someone hits you over 16 times. Maybe you've got this thing about assasinations, and will retaliate heavily if they assasinate you over 4 times. Or you get real pissed if someone tries to steal you over 7 times. You can even consider a "hire me" agression because you percieve it as an "order" and they aren't being polite when asking for a favor. So agression can be anything you want. You can retaliate to anything agression you percieve. Or you can start agression. This is Kingdoms at WAR.

So if it doesn't fit the exact definition of farming, don't call if farmin! Now, this doesn't mean it's already. You can still retaliate; just because it isn't exactly farming doesn't mean it's bad. Farming is agression too. Agression is the general term, farming is like the status quo; the general guideline for standards. You can still retaliate. You can still cause agression.

Now there are a couple commonly argued issues. First of all, does scouting count as the 5 hits? No. Why? When someone scouts you, you lose minimal spies. I have 150k spies, and I lose 400 per scout. In addition, scouting does not use pots. So in reality, you lose nothing. It is no different than if I walled you. If I wall you 6 times does that count as farming? I don't think anyone would think so. Someone tell me what different result is when I wall you and I scout you. The opponent gains nothing. You lose nothing. The opponent is at no advantage. You are at no disadvantage. Farming is to cultivate land for/collect wealth. Scouting does not earn collect you any wealth. It also does no dammage. However, it is easy to scout a player many times; as you lose minimal spies and no pots. So, when you scout or are scouted >20 times, it is called scout bombing. This is like griefing; you clog up the enemy's newsfeed for no particular reason. It is annoying. Scout bombing is an official term of its own; it is not farming! So, scouting doesn't hurt you. Nobody gains anything. Scouting over >20 times can be a percieved of agression resulting in retaliation, and is griefing, or officially, scout bombingas it causes annoyance.

The second thing is whether farming is what we deiced. Again, no. Farming is a verb; to farm. He farmed me. He farmed the fields. He ran over the fields. He ran over the pedestrian. Etc. Agression is a noun. He is agressive. He has agression. Retaliation is also a noun. We recieved retaliation. They stripped me in retaliation. So, you can't choose what someone did. Think about poety;

Nomatter how much I like sleepy fuzzy ground hogs, the ground hog didn't sleep (whether you like normal sleeping ground hogs or everlasting sleeping ground hogs). The ground mole took a deep breath and squealed. There is no arguement. To sleep and to breath and to squeal are verbs. It says that in the text, and I can't negotiate. However, I can infer. The ground mole is excited. The ground mole is alive. Excitement and life are nouns. Therefore, I can't argue about farming. Farming is the verb, that is the fact. You infer nouns, or states of being. I can percieve agression. I can't percieve farming. I can control my retaliation. I can't control the dude farming me. I can't argue about the dude farming me. He either farmed me, or did not. It doesn't matter who you are, the definition of "run" is still the same. So, farming is set (explained at the top). Agression and retaliation is whatever you want it to be.

So here are some other terms related to conflict.

• to strip: To hire a player's allies to free up gold, and then steal or attack the player, "stripping" his gold away.
• to pin: To hit a player until you recieve a "too weak" message, or to espionage a player down to 0 spies (when they lose 0 spies when you epsionage them).
• to scout bomb: Scouting a player many times (over 20) clogging up his newsfeed, and burning down his spies to 0 (requires 100+ scouts).
• to burn: Hitting or stealing or assasinating a player regardless of result to waste pots. Scouting does not use pots.

I'd love to see someone prove me wrong. Just make sure you read the whole thing first.
