In case u are unaware from titan's thread but the ex-mod Inferno (now _broken_) reset and quit the game due to dev actions has had his account completely restored by the devs despite us being told, for the last 5 and a half years, that reset recovery was not something they did. Kaw_admin and kaw_com make it clear that Inferno is a special case and the rest of us don't get this special treatment. Is this fair? Is this right? Worth the effort for mods though... The most important two SS are these and then the thread that started it all.... "We're also looking into making it harder to accidentally reset in the future" - nice try dev, but it obvious to everyone that inferno did no accidentally reset. Why bother lying to us? Unless u r inferno of course.... Repost as disapeard before
Mods get harassed daily and help support the community and they do it for free, and your surprised the devs are more open to helping someone like that than a random idiot who reset his account then regretted it the next day?
I'd imagine Dev and mod accounts have backups in case of some technical issue. Probably not easy to put them back in the system how they were, and allies of course are irreplaceable, but its possible. And don't I recall a "hacked" player a while back who's account was restored after the "hacker" reset him?
I get the impression that it's so difficult that it does take very special occasions. Such as a hacked player or a poor decision etc, but as is clear - this isn't a common thing and people should just carry on with their daily playing. Other people's accounts shouldn't concern people so much
New name is just broken, no underscore. Funny thing is that he is back in kotfe, so much for quitting
No problem, I was hoping inferno would resist the temptation, but it looks like the addiction is too powerful.
What should concern players more in a game than equal treatment? Isn't this why all games have set rules that everyone must adhere to? What goes on with the development team and their unequal treatment of the player base should concern other players MORE. This isn't a stand alone game, everything has a ripple effect.
Calm down bud how does this have any effect on you? Do you plan on reseting your account then asking for it bac?
Lmao!!! So I guess your support team tell some big porky pies @ kaw admin. When I reset my account... All be it drunkenly, you told me it was not possible to restore an account. But hey presto now all of a sudden an account can be restored? nice move
I would normally trash a lot of mods. I have argued with many who abused their position at many levels. I have pointed out the abuses and got a few in trouble with devs. If not for a big change in circumstances I would have gone for a mod position, as I felt it was wrong at that time to discredit them for something I was unwilling to do myself. As much abuse as there has been. As much as some commit huge time and effort to a thankless non paid position. A couple earnt respect. Inferno did a hell of a lot more than that. He was honest with players and devs. He would butt heads with the devs for us. The players. So as for all the drama of one of the most helpful considerate members of the community being given back his account all I can say is. In this one instance. Inferno. Damn good to have you back. The rest of you get over yourselves and quit crying at every opportunity and focus on issues that matter to actually help kaw progress Especially as a pleasant war environment and a social interaction app first and foremost. Those who can't. Just chuck your damn toys out of the pram and cry elsewhere.
I don't always see eye to eye with you chaos, but on this we can agree. Inferno deserves this much, and deserves a lot less whining about it too. They should be happy a mod on our side is back in the game.
