Yours truly, JJ "A few more treatments, and you will be better." The words that got my hopes up. The words that got everybody's up. Turns out the next week, a couple days after my third treatment, it happened. It turned my world upside-down. Just like it did to everybody. Though I feel like it affected me more. Me, Bobbi Stevens, the girl in town who almost survived cancer. Almost . I was first diagnosed with cancer at age 6. After two and a half years, the doctor said it had went away but might come back later. He was right. After I had just turned 11, he said it had come back. It was shocking but I understood that I'd have to go through all of that strenuous treatment all over again. The worst part was that I lost my hair again. Usually it was a pretty chestnut brown and it made my freckles really pop. After I lost it, I looked like a freak with my freckles. Usually I wore my favorite pale green knit hat everywhere I went to keep my head warm. Nobody made fun of me. They knew my family and they knew me and how nice we were to everybody. Plus, who would make fun of a girl who might die? Of course, everybody has a chance of dying. If everyone could treat somebody like they were gonna die the next day... Where am I going with this? One of my main friends was Matthew. He was loyal and I could always count on him. He was like a brother to me. We practically lived at each others houses. His two younger twin sisters liked me and my older brother, Ryan, and younger sister, Kaitlyn, liked him. It was like we were meant to be friends. And all of that was lost on November 2nd due to the horrible affects of brain cancer. Nobody expected that to come. I barely expected what came next.
