  1. PROLOUGE:

In the year 3027 world peace is declared. We elect a president to govern the world. Everything is great until her husband is killed. In response to this she destroys all guns and fire arms. With no other means to defend themselves, people take up the ancient way of the sword.

30 years later the president dies, leaving the world in chaos. People began to take sides, you either chose, 30 year old Amar law enforcer of the north, or 18 year old Deslia, wise woman of the south.

Most peoples decision is made by where they live, the northern hemisphere, or the southern, but a few change sides, becoming undercover spies.

  2. Chapter one: What luck
    ZACH

"Zach darling, would you be a dear, and go get me some milk from the market place?" my mother asks me, but it's not really a question, because I don't have a choice, I have to do it, and she knows that.

"Yes mother, but I'm sixteen now, and you have to stop calling me dear." I remind her again.

"Ofcourse honey." She says and hands me a copper coin.

"Honey is just as bad!" I call as I walk out the door onto the cool dusty streets. One bad thing about living in the north is that it's always cold, Amar, our leader is very fair, but he can't change the weather, so I just have to deal with it.
The market place is close to our apartment, only a quarter mile, and yet my mom insists that I have to do her bidding. I'm sixteen now, a man, I should move out and get my own apartment soon.
I arrive at the market place and breath in the smell of fresh friuts, and lush flowers. After school I used to spend most of my time here, but now I'm a man, and I don't go to school, although they still ask me to preform some tricks with a bow, or teach a lesson with a sword occasionally.
I walk up to the milk stand and ask for one jug of milk. While the worker is getting it for me, I see someone in the market square that I never have seen before. In some towns that might not be odd, but our town is so small everyone knows everyone else.
She looks about seventeen years old. She's wearing knee high black boots, with brown leggings, and a black halter top that comes to the bottom of her rib cage with a black hood attached. A red sash is tied up at the bottom of her halter top and falls down to her sword, it's wrapped around it's sheath, and falls another five inches to her knees before it stops. Her hood is up over her face preventing me to get a good look at it, but a stray strand of blond hair falls down to her chin.

"Can you tell me where apartment 327 is?" she asks a man.
He ignores her and walks away. Apartment 327 is right next to mine, 326. I walk up to her.

"Hi, I'm Zach." I say, "I can show you where your apartment is."

"Thanks, Zach! I'm Josie." she tells me.

"Sir, do you still want your milk?" asks the worker.

"Yes please!" I call. "One second." I say to Josie.
I run up and grab my milk. I hand the worker my copper coin and hurry back to Josie.

"This way." I direct her, as we make our way through the crowd and onto the road to our apartments.
As we struggle against the crowd, Josies hood falls back to reveal thick blond hair held back in a messy bun. But the most stunning thing is her eyes, they aren't the normal blue, or even brown. Her eyes are a beautiful auburn, and it contrasts well with her hair.
We finally make it out of the crowd, and into the road when I say:

"Your eyes...". I feel dumb saying it, but I just have to ask.

"Yeah, I know, they're kind of weird." She says with a shrug.

"Well, this is it, I'll be next door if you need anything." I state.

"What luck, I've met a new friend, and he lives next door!" She said as she walked into her apartment.

    JOSIE

I'm running fast to the town, I'm almost there. I stop when I'm one mile away and check my progress. I've been traveling for about three days, and was averaging about eight miles a hour, Deslia would be proud.
I speed up for this last mile, determined to be there before sunrise, I make it there just as the sky is turning pink. I pull my hood over my face in an effort to hide my eyes, the less questions asked, the better.
I look around and spot the sign to my apartment, I can find the way myself, but I decide to wait and ask someone else, the more people I know, the better I can understand the towns strengths, and more importantly,it's weaknesses.
I choose a bench and sit down. I wait for two hours and then I decide it's time to start asking around. I go up to an old man and ask him if he knew where apartment 327 is. When he walks away without agknoledgeing me I put on my best disheartened face, (Which is pretty good if I don't say so myself). I'm about to ask someone else when a boy about my age, with average brown hair, and average brown eyes walks up to me and says:

"Hi, I'm Zach, I can show you where your apartment is."

"Thanks Zach, I'm Josie." I reply trying to look as relieved as possible, and if i'm right, I suceeded, and I'm normally right.

"Sir, do you still want your milk?" asks a worker woman.

"Yes!" he calls, "One second." he says to me.
He hurries up to the milk stand and grabs his jug of milk, and jogs back to me. He directs me through the thick crowd towards the sign I spotted earlier. As we wiggle through, I feel my hood slipping. Shoot. It falls off, and I look up. Zack is stareing at my eyes, and I want to yell, haven't you ever seen auburn eyes before! But ofcourse the answer would be no, and that would totally blow my cover.
When we finally reach the street, he immediately asks:

    "Your eyes..."

"Yeah, I know, they're kind of wierd." I answer.
I really want to run off my anger, even though my legs still ache from before. But soon enough we reach my apartment.

"Well, this is it, I'll be next door if you need anything." he states.

What luck! I've met a new friend, and he lives next door!" I say as I walk into my house.
Once I close my door I say:
"What luck indeed." and smile deviously.
