"April 28, 2015 - Texas Governor Greg Abbott has ordered members of the Texas Military to monitor federal troops in an upcoming two-month training exercise planned for the Lone Star State. Operation Jade Helm will bring the U.S. military's most elite soldiers, including the Green Berets and Navy SEALS, to Texas for simulated special operations in a hostile territory. But plans for the exercise have roused fears in many Texans of a federal occupation. In a letter to Major General Gerald Betty of the Texas State Guard, Abbott said his order was "to address concerns of Texas citizens." "During the training operation, it is important that Texans know their safety, constitutional rights, private property right and civil liberties will not be infringed," the governor wrote. "I am directing the Texas State Guard to monitor Operation Jade Helm 15." The State Guard is a militia of volunteer reservists, headquartered at Camp Mabry in Austin, meant to serve in times of emergency or catastrophe. It is one of three branches of the Texas Military, a force commanded by the governor.... The announcement follows weeks of growing public outcry over the training event. Super right-wing news websites first circulated an Army document describing the planned exercise in March, and since then a broad theory of military plans to subdue Texans and institute martial law has emerged. At a weekend meeting of the commissioners' court of Bastrop County—one of 17 Texas counties that will see federal troops training between July and September, hundreds of citizens turned out to voice fear and anger with an Army spokesman." Army Special Operations Spokesman Mark Lastoria told the Chronicle that more than 1,000 troops would practice "emerging concepts in special operations warfare," and said expressed fears of soldiers in civilian areas "center around misinterpretations." The Washington Post has reported that past military exercises have seen U.S. troops treat domestic territory as hostile for the sake of training. But it's done little to ease the fears of Texans highly distrustful of the federal government. In a press release, the governor said he hoped his deployment of Texas troops to monitor the exercises would comfort citizens. http://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas ... 229568.php You can't fix stupid.
The scope of this training exercise is unprecedented. If marshal law is, indeed, the federal government's goal, their targeting of Texas is wise, due to their repeated cessation attempts. Their choice of "hostile target," in light of what I said above, ought to give one pause.
I don't think the people sounding the alarm bells are "right wingers". They are simply stupid. People who think bush knew about 9-11 are not left wingers either. They are simply stupid. Labeling morons as either right or left wing is an attribution error
Also lets be real about the size of Texas. You can literally spend your entire life exploring it and you'd still never see anything. Chances that this 'federal invasion' will actually affect Texans are slim.
It wouldn't be very good training if Texas was welcoming. Food for thought next time you check your latest jade helm news. The disinformation is on purpose to achieve the reaction they desire. Which is hostility. Measured hostility. What's the slogan? Mastering the Human domain?
I live in Texas and haven't heard a thing about this. but then again, I'm a full time student so it's no shocker I haven't.
Would you like to provide us with that information or just continue to make claims without supporting them and look like an idiot?
Jet-A fuel (standard jet fuel type in U.S.) burns up to 980 degrees Celsius. The temperature at which steel changes from cementite and pearlite (strong phases of steel) to austenite (significantly less strong) is 702.5 deg. Celsius. At which point the beams lose their structureal integrity and with the full weight of the upper half of the Twin Towers in play would topple onto itself after the steel beams have been cooked for as long as they were.
That's 1796 degrees Fahrenheit, that Jet-A Fuel burns. Note their are several different types of Jet Fuel that burns at different temperatures. Those temperatures are dramatic. And yes, it takes about 1500 degrees Celsius to MELT steal, but it takes nearly half that to decrease it's property into a softer steel that would, under enough weight, crumble. And the Twin Towers were heavy, concrete weighs a lot per square inch, and I'll let you do the math on how much weight was sitting on those softer beams.
@Majorus Stop quoting Ops entire post. Whats with that every thread anyways? Then u post 2-6 words ..wise up
