Surviving the McCasey Sisters [Blurb] My parents, gone. My home, destroyed. Ever since I was little, I had dreamt about leaving home. About setting off on an adventure. I promised to myself: When I do that, when I do that one day, I will do it properly. And now, I think this is an adventure of some sort. This is me, Lailah Pierce, and I'm on a quest. And this quest? Well, it's Surviving the McCasey Sisters. So guys, what do you think! Does this sound interesting? And I have a question for you: am I allowed to write this on Fan Fiction? I think I am, but I'm not positive. Like, whether it has to be about KaW or not. Thanks guys, and I'll try to get the prologue up ASAP. QueenBayleenOfToronto. xxx
Please note that this story WILL be set in olden times; maybe the Roman Period/Greek, as I want it to link it with KaW a bit! Thanks x
Surviving the McCasey Sisters, Prologue. I gazed out at the beautiful blue ocean, the way it ripples in the sunlight. "Lailiah! Lailah!" My best friend, Sapphire, was begging for my attention. "What? What?" I was joking around with her, always joking around with her. Her magnificent lime tunic flowed in the sea's breeze, shaping her curves, giving off the impression of a pear, as she ran towards me, red and flustered in the sun. "I'm so sorry! It's your family! They..." She was suddenly cut off by Miss Walter, our tutor. "Mistress Pierce and Mistress Gemina! Come with me please!" As Sapphire and I followed Miss Walter, I began to panic. 'No! No, what had happened to them?' All three of us walked sullenly into Miss Walters office on the ship. Sapphire looked down, sorrow filling her face. She then came over and put an arm around my shoulders, as a sign of friendship and support. "Mistress Pierce, I am deeply sorrowful for you. Your family have perished in a house fire, all of your possessions have gone with them" My mouth went dry, I opened my mouth to wail out loud, but all that came was a squeak. My knees gave way, as I shrunk to the floor, not caring about my satin tunic, that was now crumpled around me. I closed my eyes, feeling the pain, silent tears rolling down my face. I dimly registered hushed voices, before someone hoisted me up, and led me to my cabin, my classmates silent with respect as I passed them, black charcoal smeared all over my face, from my red raw eyes. Again, feedback on given post please! It hasn't been proof-read or grammar checked. So please bear with me. This is my first story that I have written out of school essays and stuff! Feedback!
Surviving the McCasey Sisters, Part 1, Chapter 1 I woke up with a pounding headache, glossy eyes and in unfamiliar clothes. Oh yes, the orphanage. Even at my high class, I have to go to an orphanage with the Peasants. But that didn't matter. My family; my father, my mother, and my twin brother. They are all gone. I'm an orphan, and I'm only 15. Tears began venturing down my face again. Why me? A wake up call (more like a tatty nurse with an elephant skin drum) came round. I got up, and did all the necessities. Then, Master Parker slammed open the oak door into my room, almost breaking it off of it's hinges. He was a tall, burly man, but not very well turned out. His hair was brown, a consisted of stray curls here and there. His eyes were the colour of stormy rain clouds. Overall he was a slightly, rather depressing and ordinary man. He sighed, a deep, husky, manly sigh and said "Your leaving Sais Orphanage Lailah. Your late mothers friend has offered to take you in. I have not heard when you will be leaving, but I will endeavour to inform as soon as I can. Please pack your bags, and clear the room before leaving." With another low sigh, he left the room again. Leaving me on my own with my perilous thoughts, I got changed quickly, putting on my nicest blue tunic, before exiting the room with my bags. I applied some charcoal around my eyes to make me look mysterious and exotic, spread some beetle's blood dust on my lips to give a shiny dark pink effect, before struggling out of the door with my bags. Then, a startled gasp left my lips. Once again, feedback! Takes about 20/30 seconds! For me? Thanks! Hasn't been checked. Love Y'all!
Surviving the McCasey Sisters, Part 1 Chapter 2 ~Recount~ I applied some charcoal around my eyes to make me look mysterious and exotic, spread some beetle's blood dust on my lips to give a shiny dark pink effect, before struggling out of the door with my bags. Then, a startled gasp left my lips. ------------------------------- I wasn't going home. I wasn't going back to my lovely family. I wasn't going back to our ocean-side villa, worth millions of gold. I wasn't going back to the cool white marble surrounding the house. I was never going back. Before I could catch myself, tears were running down my face again, leaving black lines running down my face. I hastened to wipe them away, and re-apply some charcoal, and beetles blood dust. Overall, I really wasn't that bad looking. My hair was brown, deep brown, and came to my back, but it had just a hint of cherry to it. My eyes were also brown, the kind of oak. I was extremely tanned, what with living in Greece at 1732 BC. I wasn't very tall, about 5'3", what they might call a 'petite' figure. I had a pear shaped body, as Sapphire did. Altogether, we looked a lot alike, and rounded up all of the attention from the boys. My breath caught in my throat. Sapphire. Will I ever see her again? Will I ever hear her laugh that sounds like chirpy bell? I had a feeling my questions were about to be answered. 'Oh come on Lailah, be strong' I scolded myself 'this is NOT the time for weeping and crying about things' And I knew that inner voice was right. It had been 2 weeks and 3 days since my family had burnt in that awful bush fire. It was time to move on. I confidently grabbed my bags, and strutted out of the room. Only to stumble into someone very interesting… Hey guys! Ok so, sorry that it isn't very long, but I wrote it in about 20 minutes before school! Haha, please feedback on the post given. Thanks!
Surviving the McCasey Sisters Chapter 3, Part 1 ~Recount~ I confidently grabbed my bags and strutted out of the room. Only to stumble into someone very interesting… ----------------------- I stepped back and mumbled an apology, before looking into his eyes. My heart stood still, along with everything else in the room. He was the most handsome man I had ever seen. He had dirty blonde, messy hair, with what looked like brown flecks here and there. His lips were full and a dark pink, the kind any girl would die for; either to own or to kiss. He was tall, about 6' 1", and very muscular. Finally, his eyes…oh they were beautiful. They were a dark turquoise but grey at the same time. 'He must be a god' I thought to myself. 'Its like he has been chiselled as a stone sculpture, and then been given a heart'. And then my face heated up. He was waiting for a reply, while I had been checking him out. "Oh I'm terribly sorry. Would u care to repeat that please?" He smiled, the smile of a model "Of course. I asked whether your name would happen to be Lailah McCasey?" I got lost in that sea of his eyes again. I suddenly blushed even harder, which I would of thought impossible. 'Oh, snap out of it Lailah!' I mentally scolded myself. I smiled at him pleasantly, before performing a small curtsy, which was custom in my family whenever you meet someone new. "Why, yes I am. And who may you be?" He seemed to flinch a bit at my voice, as if he was not expecting it to be like that. I suddenly realised what I just said came out sounding terribly rude. "I am Drake ben Mordecai. But you may call me just Drake, Lailah. What a beautiful name that is," he murmured the last part to himself. "Oh, where are my manners?" Ge chuckled "I haven't explained why I am here! May I?" he gestured towards my rooms door. "Of course!" Like a gentleman, he opened the door to let me enter first. I sat down on my bed, and he followed suite. "Lailah," he begun. I loved the way how he said my name. The sharp 'Lai' at the beginning, the way it seemed to end on a breath. But Drake made it sound even more magical, like he was caressing it somehow. "I am terribly sorry about your families death" I flinched, and he seemed to notice, as he stopped and his expression softened. After a moment or two of silence, once I had regained myself, I replied "No, no, it's fine. Anyway, please go on." He smiled gently at me. "Ok sure. Well, I am your mothers best friends nephew. Her name is Holly Pierce. I assume you have met her?" I nodded absentmindedly. "Well, your parents final will said that you were to be entrusted in her care if they ever…if something ever happened to them." he chose his words carefully. And I liked that. "Her husband is Chris Pierce. And they have 7 daughters. You have met them all before, I'm sure, but I'll let them refresh your memory for you." "Okay, thank you Drake," I spoke quietly, "when are we leaving?" "Well, right now if you are ready." he grinned a cute, sheepish grin. 'Cute? Honestly Lailah' I told myself. "Yes, I am ready, I answered him. "Ok then, off we go!" He lifted up my bags with ease, the opposite of what I had to go through, opened my door, and held it open for me. I took one last look at my Sais Orphanage room, before walking out before Drake, and into the dimly lit corridor. I guess it's time for my adventure. I guess it's time for me to start Surviving the McCasey Sisters AN. Ok so I'm gonna start doing AN. Its stands for Authors note. It's pretty self-explanatory why I use it. Ok, so I was nice, and I'm pretty sure that this is longer. Thanks. Feedback!
Omg! Ive completely messed some parts up! Ok it's Lailah PIERCE. And then Holly MCCASEY, and Chris MCCASEY! Ok?
Surviving the McCasey Sisters. Chapter 4, Part 1 ~Recount~ I took one last look at my Sais Orphanage room, before walking out before Drake, and into the dimly lit corridor. I guess it's time for my adventure. I guess it's time for me to start Surviving the McCasey Sisters. -------------------- On the way to Italia (AN, it's actually Italy, but I'm writing in Greek times), I found out Drake was a really very nice person. The more we shared our stories, the more I felt a likeness towards him. I found out that, he too, had lost a parent, but only his father. There wasn't a dull, quiet moment with Drake by my side. The boat trip across the ocean to Italia was wonderful! There was blue, as far as the eye could see. But I was scared. When the blue stopped, where would we go? Where would we fall? Because surely the sea stops there! At one point, Drake even put his arm around my shoulders, as he could see I was quaking, with, well, fear. I really liked Drake. I had a feeling he was the one I was going to fall back on if I found things too hard. About half-way through the journey, I excused myself, to go and lay in the shade. He followed my lead, deciding to come with me. I liked this. It was a strange feeling though. Like…like we were almost made to be together. It certainly felt odd, but was it bad? I couldn't quite work it out. After a while, the boat pulled up in Italia. My palms were sweaty, but not caused by the heat. They were sweaty from nerves. Like a gentleman, Drake helped me off of the ship, and again, carried my cases. I liked this. He knew how to treat a young lady with respect. I smiled up at him, as a way of thanking him. He grinned back. I liked that too. A lot. I managed to tear myself away from his eyes, and then I saw them. Well, I thought I did. "Drake, are they the McCaseys?" I asked him, ecstatic and nervous at the same time. "Yes, that is them. You can go on if you like. I just need to pay the boatman." "No! Of course not! I am not going to act like a selfish, foolish child!" He suddenly smirked down at me, as if something was funny. Then I giggled. Whenever he smiled or smirked, he had deep dimples on both of his cheeks. He raised an eyebrow at me, but said nothing on the subject. "Right ok then. Well, if I just leave you with the bags, I'll be right back." He was back within a second, seemingly gleaming in the sunshine. "Ready?" "Yes," I took his hand, smiling up at him, and he returned it warmly. I slowly began the long walk to my destiny. AN. So, on my page, I'm going to post a glossary of Latin Words. So words like 'pater' which means father. I THINK anyway! Haha. Bear with me!
Surviving the McCasey Sisters. Chapter 5, Part 1 ~Recount~ "Ready?" "Yes," I took his hand, smiling up at him, and he returned it warmly. I slowly began the long walk to my destiny. -------------------- I was firstly greeted by Mrs. McCasey. She had a short, dirty blonde bob, much the colour like Drakes. She was a medium height, had elegant lips and long eyelashes surrounded deep blue eyes. "Oh Lailah," she gushed, "I'm so sorry about your family!" She enveloped me in a hug, which was considered rude in my family. I frowned at this, but, just to be courteous, I hugged her back. "Please call me Holly, and my husband Chris." As if on cue, Chris McCasey greeted me with a small bow of the head. He also had dirty blonde hair, something which he and Holly shared. It was quite a sweet thing. I little thing that made them unique, but together, and then shared that with their sons and daughters, and nieces and nephews. He had brown eyes though, and was a little taller than medium. "Hello, Lailah. I do not believe We have met before? When you came to visit us, I was at work, both times. Please excuse my wife's behaviour. She has been talking about this day for about a week and a half now." I smiled. I could tell Chris was the slightly more, well, let's say tranquil type, compared to Mrs. McCasey anyway. 'Holly! Holly!' It was going to take some getting used to, calling my elders by their christian names. I suddenly realise that he is talking to me, and I chuckled quietly. "Yes thank you Chris. I'm sure I will get used to yours and Holly's ways!" 'Ok, now the hard bit! Time to face the girls!' "May I?" I asked Chris and Holly, motioning for permission to go and greet their daughters. "Of course, of course!" Holly seemed to regain herself, as she and Chris parted to let me pass. My lungs felt like they had stopped working. In front of me were seven of the most beautiful girls I had ever seen. They were are slim, and all had the trademark dirty blonde hair, though their styles were all different and unique. They all shared red, full lips, obviously natural. Their height looked like it ranged from about 5' 1" to 5' 6", depending on age, but not including the little toddler one of the girls were holding. Their eyes were a deep blue, much like Holly's, and they all had black long eyelashes. Altogether, their beauty wasn't made up. It wasn't achieved with make-up. It was natural, one which all girls desired. I suddenly remembered to breathe again, and walked towards them, a forced smiled on my face. I went to what I assumed was the eldest daughter first (she looked about 19), with the adorable little toddler. "Hello Lailah, my name is Izobel. And this little one is called Meme. Say Hello Meme!" "Hewwo!" AW, she was too cute! "Nice to meet you Izobel, and hello Meme!" Both of us girls curtsied slightly at each other, before I moved on to the next face of beauty. "Yo Lailah! ~AN. This isn't YO! as we would say now! It was a Latin way of saying Hello! I think anyway~ My name is Keira." Keira looked about 18 "Nice to meet you Keira." Us girls curtsied as a show of greeting and went to meet the next sister. This routine continued until I had met the rest of the 7 sisters. Altogether, their names and estimated ages were: • Izobel, 19 • Keira, 18 • Cassandra, 16 • Miriam, 14 • Flavia, 12 • Pulchra, 9 • Meme, 3 'This is going to be interesting.' I thought to myself. 'They all seem nice enough here, but at their villa when Holly and Chris weren't around?' I didn't know. They all seemed a bit false to me. Well maybe not Pulchra or Meme, but the rest are going through hard times. Ovulating, and Growing. 'Well, I might as well get on with it.' "There are 4 other people we would like you to meet." Cassandra said politely. As if rehearsed, the girls separated into two, and moved off to the side. 'This family is crazy!' I thought 'Every single member is gorgeous!' In front of me were 3 teenage boys; and one extremely lucky and unlucky at the same girl. The girl was beautiful, and looked exactly like the McCasey Sisters. The three boys were so handsome they were seemingly glowing. They looked like replicates of Drake. If I hadn't of known better, I would say that they were quadruplets. But that was impossible. They all had the same dirty blonde, messy hair, that fell into their eyes. All of the men in the family shared the height. Tall. Again, they all had deep blue eyes, that of the ones where you could lose yourself in them. I suddenly remembered my manners, and therefore stepped forwards to introduce myself. But Drake beat me to it, and stepped forwards. For two of my steps, he took one stride. "Lailah, let me introduce you to my siblings. We have Dylan, Tristan, Cole and -the princess of the family- Polla." He pointed to each of them in turn. I performed a small curtsy to all of them in one, the men returning with a bow of their heads, and Polla mirrored my actions with one of her own. Their ages all seemed very close. Maybe Tristan eldest, 19, and then Polla youngest, 15. Polla was the first to greet me. And just like any other excited female teenager, she gushed over me. "Lailah! Finally, I have waited all my LIFE for a girl to chat to! We are going to gossip so much! I just can't wait!" I chuckled politely. "Likewise." Then Tristan came up. I gasped quietly, but I don't think anyone noticed. "Hello Lailah. As Drake said, I'm Tristan. I'm glad Polla finally got a friend. She does have friends, from her tutoring, but none that she will see every day!" I smiled warmly at him, but my cheeks were starting to ache. "I'm sure we will have a lot of fun." And so the same happened with Cole and Dylan too. "Lailah, I would also like you to encounter my mother, Michelle ben Mordecai." "Hello Lailah. I'm so pleased to meet you! And I'm sure my children are too. Also, like Holly and Chris, please call me Michelle. Ms. ben Mordecai makes me feel old." I forced out another smile at her. "Yes, as I you, and ok, though it will take some getting used to, so please forgive me if I get the two mixed up." Michelle started to reply, but, oblivious to the fact that her and I were having a conversation, Holly cut her off. "Well everyone," Holly declared "Its getting late, and I sonny know about you, but I'm tired," murmurs of agreements came from around the huddle. "I'm afraid we will have to bid you farewell for now," Michelle announced, "The later it gets, the harder it is to get a driver for us. Goodnight." As they departed, I suddenly felt a weight on my shoulders. All of the friends I had made were in the McCasey family. All of the sisters felt and sounded fake. My gut twisted uncomfortably. What was I going to do? AN. So all of the characters are now introduced. I made this longggg for you guys! So repay me by giving feedback! Thanks! And I forgot the Latin/Greek name for a cab lol. Thanks guys! And if you want a character list, just wall me, and I'll give you one! Thanks! You guys rule!
Omg! I'm so stupid! I keep making mistakes! Ok so I was meant to say: All of the friends I had made were in the ben Mordecai family.
Sorry for the long wait guys. just writing the next chapter! Love, peace and chocolate! X x x. Feedback pleaseeee
Surviving the McCasey Sisters. Chapter 6, Part 2 ~Recount~ As they departed, I suddenly felt a weight on my shoulders. All of the friends I had made were in the McCasey family. All of the sisters felt and sounded fake. My gut twisted uncomfortably. What was I going to do? ------------------- His beautiful deep blue eyes pierced into mine. "I love you," he breathed softly, before closes the inch gap between our lips. I woke up with a start. My heart rate started to slow, and I suddenly felt a longing in my chest. A longing for that dream to become true. I furbished myself in a deep purple tunic, aspiring to dress to impress. Once again, I smeared charcoal around my oak brown eyes, and spread red beetles blood dust on my lips. As I had some spare time, I admired my room. The McCasey villa really was dazzling. It was white marble, obviously for reflecting the suns heat. The floors were also white marble, cool to the touch. There were about 22 rooms in total, my favourite being the Chamber Room. My room was just as glorious as the rest of the 'mansion'. It was a baby pink marble, with a soft bed, made completely from goose feathers. There was also an oak coloured wardrobe and dresser, something which I had a suspicion on. I think that Holy gave me this room because the dresser and wardrobe matched my eyes. There were so many guest bedrooms, Holly could just take her pick for me. And I was pleased, because I was treated the same as the sisters. My room was exactly the same size as theirs, possibly bigger. But I knew one thing: Holly only gave me a bedroom like this out of sympathy and guilt. I then returned to the present, and walked out of my room, bursting with confidence and certainty in myself. The girls were all sitting downstairs, in the Chamber Room, in all of their prettiness and glory. "Hello Izobel, Keira, Cassandra, Miriam, Flavia, Pulchra and Meme." I said to the girls, making it as polite as I could. "Hello Lailah," they all responded, except for Meme of course, in unison, as if rehearsed and practised. "Today, we are all going to the beach, including the ben Mordecai's, for you to get to know everyone, although I'm sure you and Drake are acquaintances already." As Miriam informed me of the days future events, Keira giggled at the last part. I struggled to remain holding my posture. "Oh ok, where, may I ask where your parents happen to be?" "They are coming straight away, and should be here any minute," this time Izobel spoke. "We should probably be heading to the front door now," Miriam announced to everyone. All of the girls began to make their leave. Cassandra came and put an arm around me, with a smile pasted on her face which, unfortunately, I could see straight through instantly. "Come Lailah, I'll show you to the beach so that you do not get lost." "Thank you Cassandra, a guide would be most helpful." Unlike her, I had a genuine smile. But then that smile suddenly turned into a thoughtful expression. 'Its impossible' I shook my head to clear my perilous thoughts. 'Or is it?' When Cassandra put her arm around me, I was more sure than not she had quickly but hardly pinched me. AN. so guys, what do you think? Sorry it's a little short, I've got writers block . So please feedback, and in the feedback, tell me what actors you have
