Strip Defense Tactics.

  1. Hey guys, Back again with another guide. This time, Just a few tips to make yourself harder to strip ;)

    Strip Defense Guide

First and foremost, None of these things will actually make you strip proof. No one is infallible. These tips are more for deterring, making it an annoying job for your enemy :)

    So.. The tips.

    - Random Unloading
    - Alarms
    - Reset Bombs
    - Towers

Each one of these can help you deter a potential stripper. Lets start shall we?

    Random Unloading

This helps to throw a target off his tracking! :) Unload at random times (different times each night is best) Wake up to pee? UNLOAD hear a noise outside? ******* UNLOAD. What this does, is shows you as active in a time frame you would not be normally. This confuses a would be stripper, and almost forces him to track you longer before the strip. This is more of a "lets try avoid it" tactic. And can be efficient if you can be consistent at being in-consistent.

    Alarms

A fairly common tactic is to set alarms to wake you up at certain intervals. This is a "Catch the strip" tactic. Fairly self explanatory.

    Reset Bombs

This is a recent (last year or so) tactic. When the devs changed the drop/reset mechs to a staggered % of gold returned, this was quickly taken on by many OSW clans. Basically make your self a (legal) PC alt. (remember, one PC account only, and 1per device is allowed) volley this account to a nice price, and give it a fun name :)
If this ally is bought, you can reset it to cause a loss. The more the ally costs, the better.

    Towers

Towers are pretty self explanatory. The bigger the static spy defense, the more difficult you are to strip. If we were in OSW and I was planning a strip, I would target an acc with low static before those with high static. Although you need at least 10 t4 spy towers for it to actually start helping you in the strip.

So yeah. My advice ? Don't do so much to stop a strip, that the game stops being fun. Setting alarms etc.. Can become a bit of a chore. I've done these things many times. I've also been stripped many times, however at the end of the day, it's a game. Don't put yourself out in RL to protect fake gold. You can always make it back :)

  4. Once again, Amazing thread my brother!

    Mentors ;)

  5. I LOVE the reset bomb idea lol, it doesn't do you much good. It only screws over the other person

    Great thread

  6. It's official.

  7. Great thread

  8. Reset bomb tactic was used in 2009-2010 btw.

People also reset more back then. If you bought all lands, you could reset your account and get a permanent item which would give you a % bonus to your stats (up to five times). I heard they removed this.

Anyways, people would have accounts ready to reset for bonus just waiting for someone they didn't like to hire them.

I still fondly recall being told to get a  to hire me when I was ready to do a reset XD.

I guess this tactic wasn't used too much for awhile, was forgotten, and found again by some newer peeps clans who decided to put it on forums? ;P

Yah, I remember going against almost a whole clan of guys who had super expensive 0/0/0/0 alts ready to reset. They used them for plunder.

I think some were left alone and the owners were just kept DTW. A guy full of 0/0/0/0s is not much of a threat. If he has huge amounts in crap allies and you want to strip him anyways, burden can be shared or maybe just use a bank. A guy with all 0/0/0/0 allies is losing anyways.

  9. More on no stats allies:

It's a hard decision to make. It's just there for plunder, and I suppose if you have trouble hurting the other side.

There are a couple of things to keep in mind:

    1) You're making clan mates with better allies much bigger targets.

    2) You're not making any $ from ally trading.

    3) You're not increasing clan strength.

    4) You are making yourself easy to farm. (No BFA)

In the long run you will gimp yourself. You should decide how important your clan's growth is, how important the war is, and what you want to do to the other side.

If you want to make your reset alt have better stats, you can build it up. But if you reset, you lose everything you built so you just wasted your time. That alt could become powerful and be used to make you and your clan stronger.

I'm not saying it's always a bad idea, but imo reset alts or allies with 0/0/0/0 stats is something which should only be considered as a last resort.

  10. Yes. But is more common now given the huge loss a reset can cause someone on a first day reset since devs changed the mechs to a staggered %. Hence my calling it recent.

    Is simply, a tactic.

  11. I was hoping to see your follow-up thread for this. :D

  12. Lmao jam.... Guide central.... These "mentors" are spamming forums. I wanna see noobs posting rubbish i can call them names about rather then learning what we learnt gradually in an instant.

  13. Tested and approved lol

Well done dante, was thinking of doing something similar but I'm lazy haha :)

  14. Yeah cause information filled guides are considered spam

    * insert genius meme here*

But anywho, random unloading is vital. It's what caused noteworthy osw clans to fail strip me 5 times before they finally got 20 bill off of meh. Then they didn't strip my bomb :'( was so sad

  15. Yep random unloads is key. Also some good coke helps but let's not condone drug use.

I recently was stripped , they knew my tz from the start. Didn't matter for while if they knew or not. Random unloads make u very hard to track. Only lasts so long b4 u get caught slipping tho :p

  16. The trick isn't just to randomly unload...

It's to create the illusion of a false correlation or no correlation.

I.e. Even when online don't hit for a few hours...

Its all about being deceptive lol

  17. Indeed.

Anyway at the guy who's post I can't see now for some strange reason.

You think it's spam, report it.

    Simple.

  18. It is key to not unload during active times as well to help bridge the false tracking. If in major osw sometimes i would try to completely flip my playing going almost totally inactive while I could monitor my account and trying to unload as much as possible during times when I can't be very active like sleep etc. also don't forget to play dead during a strip. If you catch it bank gold and maybe drop cheap pots to create the inclusion you are being stolen for billions only to have your enemy waste resources etc. many times if they think they are successful in stripping you they will continue to buy bigger and bigger allies. Last thought reverse strips are key. If you are tracking properly you should have a target candidate to strip with the funds provided by the fail.

  19. Yep bass that's exactly what I'd do

  20. Also don't forget that attk stripping hurts as well. If you are dealing with a big hansel with heavy towers and think you have some down times validated
