Table of contents -Target audience -Getting started -Getting volleyed -Quests & Ally shopping -Building your kingdom -Max plunder -Finding targets -NPCs Target audience The target audience for this guide is players that are just starting off in the game and players that have started off but now are stuck. Reason why not for more advanced players is because you have already probably figured these things out. Getting started Kaw has some rules these rules are made up by the developers and are enforced by the moderators and the developers. The rule farming is not actually an enforced rule it is just a rule players like to have be warned if you farm you may be farmed back. Keep an open mind when building you do not want to start of with just guilds because you want to be an OSF this will stop your growth tremendously. You do not have to decide what you want your build to be now you can decide that when you are LC. Warriors guide to a lightning fast BC Getting volleyed Getting volleyed is not a very productive way to grow/get started! First of all, it will only piss people off when you request a volley and when you post that in WC it will be ignored 99% of the time. If you use the gold gained from volley appropriately you will not be overpriced and will get volleyed more. Quests & Ally shopping At the very start of the game you may make more off quests than off of attacks, so just empty your troops on quests. If you piss a player off and they start farming you and your to small to hit back don’t go to the battle list and pin yourself self pin using quests to save the loss of gold and maybe gain a bit. When buying allies buy the cheapest allies on the ally list these will sell fast and you will make some gold just continuously buy allies as this will also give you some ally bonus when attacking. Do this for the first few lands until you make more off of attacks then quests. Building your kingdom Building your kingdom is your personal preference, build it to whatever you want it to be. I will share my thoughts. Pure attack builds are not very good unless you are going to be an OAF, it is just saying to KaW “Hey look I don’t have any spies come spy me all you like”. Pure spy builds are only useful for pissing people off and opening free for hits their only way to make plunder is for them to be in a RPW, they normally don’t have allies. The builds I recommend are Pure attack with a few spy builds, Hansel (All spy and 1+ attack buildings), Half and half or mixed (Half your land spy half attack buildings or both spy and attack stats are the same.). Advanced guide to espionage (version 3.1) Read this if you want to be a pure spy. T4 hansel guide Read this if you want to be a Hansel. Buildings & land – (pictures, stats and costs) Max plunder This is the most important thing you can do with your account unless you are a pure spy. It is so important if you want to grow and play. Until you have achieved significant ally wealth, attacks will be your primary source of income (unless you buy nobility—but that is not addressed here). Everyone wants to grow fast. As a result, everyone makes the same foolish mistake; they sacrifice plunder for upgrades. To find if your max plunder hit someone with full troops record that number down then buy an ally then hit that same person with full troops and record the second number. If the both numbers are the same then you are at max plunder, if the 2nd number is bigger than the first then you are not at max plunder keep doing this until you are at max plunder. Always test if your max plunder before you upgrade if you are not at max plunder when you upgrade you will grow slower and will make less then players same stats who are max plunder. Finding targets To find a target go to the battle list or WC, better to do battle list all of those players are around your stats. A good strategy to use before you attack someone is to scout them first, to see what they have and see if you have a chance against them. (Scouting is a powerful tool, use it!). Many players don’t scout before they attack, they just attack. They then find the defender has sufficient pots to cause serious troops loss (along with the battle loss). This is a waste of money and troops. Don’t do it. Scout your targets first. When the battle list ceases to give you targets of an equal size, you can use the ally search interface instead. This allows you to pick an appropriate price point for the target stats you require and search out someone with a nice low defense for you to pummel. Again, it helps to scout these targets (except in the cases where their spy stats are high... this is good for plunder but does require you to actually attack to find out if they have pots). NPCs NPC stands for Non Player Character. It is an RPG term that has carried over into MMORPGs to describe developer made characters who act of their own accord. There are NPCs littered throughout various stat levels in KaW. You can often identify them by a combination of their name (corny pre-teen terms – the worst ones (*****) have since been abbreviated (pbomber), their lack of allies and walls (either empty or only containing unanswered inquiries by unsuspecting players). NPCs may retaliate when you hit them. Beginners FAQ. If I can find my thread Forum FAQ. and terms I'll add it here my computer was over loading so had to shut it down
With respect... Volleying is actually a good way to start, and to start ONLY. If you're new and send a nice message in wc, you actually usually do get hired. I don't believe NPCs hit back anymore...
