Okay, well a lot of us are chasing items that are just not dropping, and many crystals are being burnt in the process, (especially on their new money maker ToC which had a more appropriate name before!) Perhaps if enough players hold a crystal amnesty, maybe over a day or even a week, then ATA will stop messing about and give us a clue why some players are more favoured than others during these drops! Yes I do have 4 items, having xtal abused the life out of EB's so I can have the items for their bonuses, but it all seems a little futile especially when you've been in 8 EBs during a day which have dropped a total of 7 items combined with over 40 hitters a time...
It doesnt matter how well you do the item randomly drops to anyone who participated in the EB. Its like everyone pulled a slot machine
Here are some tips I have heard/gathered, drop players who already have the item to increase the chance for those who don't have one of getting one dropped. And just be patient some days you get none and some you get multiple it is totally random. You must participate to get one though.

Not fair? It's 100% fair. The drop being random is the ONLY fair way to do it. That way EVERYONE has an opportunity at items. You want to know what the secret to item chasing is? Guaranteed if you take this advice 100% of the dropped items in an eb will benefit you. Ready? The secret is.... NOT to chase them!!!! If you're doing the eb's at your home clan, than no matter who gets items, it strengthens the clan as a whole. Power in this game does not come from stats, it does not come from items, it does not come from mith, or even gold. Power in this game cones from your clan, your alliances, your friends. That said it's easy to conclude that you're better off in your home clan than out chasing items. You already have the items from the eb your home clan runs? That's irrelevant, as you benefit from each and every drop your clanmates get. Stick around and help your team finish eb's faster, the faster the eb's, the more eb's per day, the more opportunities for items, the more plunder generated, the faster the growth of your clan as a whole. The faster the growth, the sooner your clan can do the more difficult eb's. Once you're big enough as a clan to finish any eb, the cycle repeats.
