While I may not be the most qualified person to do this because of the long period of time I was away but when I started up again on a new account I was confused due to all the new changes. I know that a startup guide would have been helpful. Let me know anything I forget and I will be happy to add it with credit. Table of Contents -Unfamiliar Terms -Types of Builds -Growing Tricks -Tips and Tricks Unfamiliar Terms -volley- When two players hire a kingdom in quick succession. This can be done to give a new kingdom money or transfer money between two players (I'm a bit lacking here feel free to suggest) Types of Builds There are 4 main types of builds: Attack, Hansel, Hybrid, and Spy Attack An attack build uses attack type buildings. Usually players use buildings with higher attack such as Workshops, Forges, Subterranean Factories, and Cursed Foundries. Attack builds require allies for ally plunder bonus. Generally a few Guilds or Stronghold of Shadows provide a slight spy defense along with potions. This is a good starting build. Hansel A Hansel build is one attack building (generally a balanced building) and 23+ Guilds or Stronghold of Shadows. Hansel builds make the most money because Guilds have the highest ally plunder bonus (therefore they require allies). I would not recommend this build to start however transferring over to it once you have established yourself will help you grow faster. Hybrid A Hybrid is a mix of attack buildings and spy buildings. Almost all attack builds are technically Hybrids however not as mixed in stats. Hybrids are generally built on each person's own tendencies and its up to you to discover what you like most. Spy A Spy build uses only Guilds or Stronghold of Shadows. They use potions to defend against attacks and have a wide variety of attacks. Spy builds are most often used in OSW for stripping people of all their money. I would not recommend this build to start, you will know more about the game if you ever need this build. Growing Tricks -One thing to remember is to save your money in allies. When you are starting allies are bought and sold quickly and every time an ally is bought you make a small profit. Not only do they help you when they are bought and sold but they also help you when attacking with troops in your ally plunder bonus. -Another hint to fast growth at the beginning is to find an clan/academy (or training clan) that does Epic Battles (EB). These will be your primary source of income and when you complete them you will make a large bonus profit. -Ask for help from clan leaders/admins, and if needed on the forums. Just make sure you file it under the proper heading, Questions and Feedback. The forums are loaded with helpful and useful information. Tips and Tricks -Balanced Buildings (Stable, Bestiary,War Aviary, Circle of Elemental) all hold one extra hit however they take 5 minutes longer to fully recharge -Most buildings require 60min to fully recharge, this includes spy buildings -Troop buildings make more money per hit when closer to full troops then low troops -After unlocking the first 25 lands a second 25 are made available -Equipment is earned through Epic Battles and by purchasing it with Mithril (Earned through wars), it gives a permanent boost to your stats -The Mage (used to enchant Equipment thereby making it more powerful) is unlocked after upgrading your castle to level 3. This is something only experienced players can do. -The Alchemist allows the player to cast spells for temporary boosts to stats and more. Spells are unlocked when you have purchased more land and cost Mithril. Once again let me know if I forgot anything, thanks Credit for additions to: -Aileron
Where? I didn't see a guide for brand new players under strategy. I only saw a bunch of guides on useful information that might make a complete guide if put together.
Although there are all ready some of these, if I was a new player and didn't know any better I would read this and it would help me. Good guide bro. Time and effort put in. What I like to see.
Be cool if you could ad the requirements for the mage and alchemist. Alot of small players are baffled as to how to unlock them
Oooooh another guide! But I have learned so much already I don't know if I can take all this in. Wish there wasn't so many "startup" guides already. And take it from me, I started playing 3 years ago and then took a long break about a year ago. Even then I had to learn a lot of stuff because of all the changes that had been made.
I thought it was a good guide for noobs, the people that complain about multiple guides usually don't read them. They need to keep their mouths shut.
