After replacing 1 guild with a lvl 3 SOS and hitting a haunting, my ally bonus dropped appox. 200,000.
Search for "T5 Hansel guide" on your favorite search engine, and you should find a guide that shows you how to avoid that.
I'm testing it right now, and I'm finding that SoS isn't bad at all for plunder- not lvl 3, at least. Keep in mind that SoSs give better assassination plunder as well, since they're stronger, but here's the result of my build in terms of attack plunder: 30 guilds (lvl4) + 1 stable (lvl1): 18.2 mil/hit 29 guilds (lvl4) + 1 SoS (lvl3) + 1 stable (lvl1): 18.6 mil/hit It seems to vary wildly for people though, as I've noticed that many of those who say that SoS drops their plunder are also those with larger troop stats (like your build OP!), whereas my troop building is a t1 stable . You could save up for a mass convert, but assassination plunder tends to increase when you build SoS, which may balance out the loss in attack plunder.
If i have all sos and 1 volary and 4 sos's lvl 1 and 8 guilds is this bad im changing all guilds to sos
There's a point to which your plunder will drop if you get too strong. It's not only SOS that does it, as it happens with some t4 buildings as well. I've heard it can happen with vols if you convert one at a time from guilds as well.
4 SOS helps plunder, anymore decreases it. I explained this in my "T4 hansel guide." Now known as T5 hansel guide.
It really depends on the strength of your other buildings. Vols didn't hurt me because I had already converted lowlands at the time and had more attack buildings. Now if somebody built one vol when they had all guilds, then it probably would. It's a crazy strength vs target formula in the game that I don't think anyone has quite figured out.
@darkwarrior - I can calculate your allies bonus and value needed for MP to within a percent. These are just algorithms. They can be figured out.
