  1. This is in-universe for Skyrim. Tell me how I did. It's not complete yet, it'll have a lot more... Sometime...

  2. The door opened, at first to a blinding, divine light, then to red and black. Hundreds of Imperial soldiers rushed out of the transport, some with magnificent, gleamy armor, beautiful enchanted swords of fire, and some with the most pathetic excuse for Imperial "equipment" ever made, with rough iron and flimsy little daggers. Unfortunately, poor Talos was one of the latter. Named after the great Tiber Septim, Talos was a young Nord lad who had grown in the Imperial town on Lone, Cyrodiil. Born in Skyrim, he was hurried to off to live with the Imperials at the age of 2, after his hometown had been burned to the ground, and his parents slaughtered before his very eyes. He found comfort and care in Lone, where his mother, Matilda, took him in and raised him, the Imperial way. Talos and his friends would frolick through the woods of the Nibenay, harvest the fruits of the West Weald, and sometimes venture a bit too far into ancient Alyied ruins. But these memories of home were cut far short when he narrowly escaped an exploding fireball, deflected by an Imperial battlemage, the kinds you find around the Arcane university if you loiter around for too long. Talos, with his untrained sword arm and his butter thin armor, found himself in the midst of a full on war on the shores of lake Rumare. Aldmeri Dominion battlemages lit up the nighttime sky with a fearful display of their magical might, as Thalmor Justiciars cut down Imperial soldiers like weeds. The way the fire in the sky reflected on the lake was... Beautiful... Poetic, even. In the distance the White Gold tower stood valiantly over the burning chaos that used to be the famed Imperial City, barely even visible through the smoke of burning corpses. By the time Talos had recovered from the sight of such mayhem, he was being pushed along as part of an Ill-fated Imperial charge towards Weye. One by one, those before him were cut down. Imperial helmets and Elven swords flew into the air, and blood covered the faces of those who were next. Talos picked up an glass shield, foolishly not seeing how it would ever deflect a blow, and dropped it in preference of an iron shield, and charged in. The boy had never experienced such mayhem and chaos before, and his charge of valor was quickly overtaken by fear. But it was too late to retreat, it was either be cut down by the Altmer or trampled by his fellow imperials. He chose the Altmer. He raised up his sword and swung it with as much force as he could muster, clashing into the Elven moonstone armor, and his weak blade shattered into dozens of pieces, only the hilt remaining. He fell on the ground, looking up at the Aldmeri soldier towering above him. He laughed at the puny Talos, and his banded iron and leather armor, as he kicked aside his shield and lifted his sparkling glass sword for the death blow. Talos was defenseless, and he tried to plead for mercy, but made no audible noise. His life flashed before his eyes, reminding him if the great times he had; picking apples with his childhood love, singing old Nordic tales, swiping a few Septims from the churches coffers. Talos remembered... Remembered what he had left behind in participating in this stupid, meaningless war of which he had no concern. He closed his eyes, and waited as the Altmers sword came down on him. He whispered one final prayer, but what he said was far from what he meant to say. FUS RO DAH, he thundered, knocking back the Altmer with a force more powerful than Wuuthrad! His voice struck down the Altmer soldier, sending him flying backwards into his own men, knocking them down like dominoes. One after one, an entire battalion of the highest ranking soldiers in the entire Aldmeri Dominion fell flat on their faces from the power Talos has hailed and rained down upon them. No-one could believe what they had seen, or done, in Talos's case. The Imperial legion flooded the gap in the Altmers forces, killing the commanders while they were down. They stormed right on through the town of Weye, cutting down Elves like weeds, almost as if the battle had completely reversed.
