single handedly taking on a clan: a beginners guide

  1. I've decided to toss this guide out there for one who are looking for a new way to play KaW. It can also serve as a guide for people who are a clan farm. This guide will teach you the basics in doing single combat against an entire clan. When done properly, this can be fun for everyone, so, with put further adeu, Lets begin!

    Prepare for war!
Getting optimal war results requires good prep work. Just wandering into war will leave you with limited options. Here are a few things that will enhance your experience.
    1. Make sure you have a few thousand of each attack pot. When a clan pins you, you'll need them to hit the bigger players. Attack pots open up a world of possibilities to you.

    2. Pop up a few def buildings. Def buildings are the gift that keeps on giving in a private OSW. Yes, the top half of the clan roster will roll right over them, but the weaker members will have to burn pots to hit you, and they will find that to be frustrating, especially if you are hitting them and costing them $$$.

    3. Have a good mith reserve. Mith can be used for obvious battle tactics. Since the majority of KaW goes crazy when mith sales happen, the majority of you should have no problems with this. Anyway, what good is mith of you never use it? 

    Select your clan
This is crucial. Clan selection will determine what type of battle you have. If you select one of the "professional" clans in KaW, your war experience will be much more intense than if you select a clan that is new, or only does EBs and has no idea how to fight. Engaging both types of clans so fun in their own way, so o suggest you try your hand at both.

    Insert an alt
If you have an alt, try to insert him/her Into the clan prior to battle. Let your alt sit there for a week or so before you start the war. This should eliminate suspicion that you and your alt are the same person.

Alts are great for several reasons.
    1. They have access to cc, which is usually pretty entertaining. It's great to see what the enemy has to say while you are hitting them.

    2. Your alt will let you know who is on and off line. This info is useful In figuring out who you wish to attack.

    have a good war strategy
Having a good war plan is key. Here is what you can do for optimal results.

    1. Enter battle naked. (Or, if you are very active, see if you can let the enemy strip you, then bank the $$$)

    2. hit the little accounts to make $$$. Use the small amount of $$$ you earn to buy attack pots so you can hit the bigger guys. If you are really talented, you can break even or even make a s all profit while being under constant attack using this technique

    3. Fight from a pin. This is the most entertains part. The opposing clan cannot hit you when you are pinned, but you can hit them. Since the idea of an entire clan "turtling" is breathtakingly stupid (and hard to do) you'll always have targets while being invulnerable to attack at the same time .

    4. Bank your $$$ in attack pots when you sleep or have other things to do. This will neuter the effect of the Incomming hits. Sure, the opposition will pin you, but who cares? You aren't online anyway, you have no gold out, and you always fight from a pin in this scenario, so there is no down side 

    5. Get an app that serves as a timer. Have it go off every 14 min. Carry your phone in your pocket. Is will ensure that you never leave pin while you harass your opponents

    Xtal blast!
This isn't an important strategy, but its fun. Burn an xtal and strife the enemy roster. Start at the top and work your way down. See if you can Dump your spies and troops before you get any Incomming fire. In war, this is the most entertaining thing for me 

    Be prepared to "lose"
Attacking a clan is a lot of fun, but all good things must eventually come to an end. You may run out of funds, or you may simply become weary of the war. What ever your reasons, know that when you stir crap like this, you will usually have to submit to your opponents conditions for a CF. That's OK. If you've fought well, the CF is seldom a problem. Just be respectful and find out what it takes to move on. At the end of the day, if you aren't a total ass, you should have made some new friends. People who return fire are fun people to know, and once you have fought a clan or two, you'll have some real good experience that will last you your whole KaWreer.

Anyhow, that's all I have for this short tutorial. Have fun, and as always,

    Happy KaWing

  2. Great guide moose! :)

  3. Good job SUPPORT

  4. Nice thread.

  5. Addedendum to the strategy:
Basically, when I was discussing hitting the opposing roster, wage 2 wars. I hit the little players who I can win with no pots. I then use their money to attack the big hitters who actually have high defense. I read this thread again and thought that I may have stated my original point poorly

  6. Very nice guide. 

  7. Support! great info!

  8. You could just be a spy, and annoy the heck out of them… works perfectly I've heard

  9. Using a timer to stay pinned is also useful 

  10. I like this guide moose I will have to try it ;)

  11. Please do! And post the results of your war .

  12. Thank you very much for the post, Moose! 

You gave me inspiration and further strengthened my resolve against MAYBE and Kings-Lounge....bullies who pick on the weak.

  13. A guide to attacking a clan? How about a guide for picking your nose?

  14. Since this is the beginner's guide, I'm assuming an expert's version is also coming out.

Also, "buy lots and lots of Mith". Written like a true puppet of the devs.

  15. OK.

    Nostril selection
To have 2 nostrils. Select the one with the most goo, as picking and empty nostril is stupid.

PRO TIP: don't pick both nostrils at once, as this may obstruct your breathing.

    goo management
Once you have cleaned your nostril, you'll most likely have a surplus of crap on your finger. DO NOT EAT IT! Instead, wipe it on a Kleenex, or, if you are mean spirited, wipe it off on the bottom of a desk or counter top, where someone else has a chance of accidently Coming into contact with it.

    trim your nails
Your nose is a vascular structure and sharp nails can actually tear your thin nasal tissues and cause profuse bleeding, which is both disgusting and hard to hide

    be discrete
Picking your nose is nasty. Try to engage in this activity only when others aren't looking

Hope this helps you philo 

  16. Nah. Poor assumption. Is is pretty much what you'll get out me me for now 
