So we finally got a PVP event - and how fantastic was it? KaW descended into chaos and farmers came out to play. Chase the blade was an ingenious idea!!! I personally thought the event was amazing, and while there are a few changes I'd support for future events like this ... its was pretty near perfect Perhaps some prior warning to events like this giving people a chance to bank and be prepared would be a nice addition. Event length could do with being shorter, with the intensity of the event, 4 days would be perfect especially those new to PVP. And no opt out - its too open to abuse with people hiding people behind the opt out spell so how did everyone else find the event and what changes would you want to see to improve future pvp events?
I thought it was great. It did get intense at some times. Respect to all i battled. Lets do it again soon
I thought this event was awesome. I also think with fair warning to bank there should be no opt out. The only other thing I would do is make BFA not count for attacks or defense. I saw mid guys getting smashed by LB who even I might only get a hit through on. Sure this would make strips easier during event, but if anything that in my opinion would only make the chaos greater and possibly even act as a check and balance for the LB.
Exhausting In the future I would like to see it as a 48 hour event. Once you get big you have a huge target on your back. Also the shard loss ratio is ridiculous once you get a lot. I open for a second and take on steal I would lose 215 shards and people would win 430. But I suppose this can't be changed or you can partner up and just boost shards.
Awesome event Improvements for next event - no opt out spell - hit restrictions Thanks devs for event To all who participated congratz
Event was great but I was not potted well leaving it a bit difficult to hit players, but I got set and it was probably my favorite event๎
i thought a week was fine, the original 2 weeks would be too much tho. really enjoyed it, i was just about to log when the event got started, had 400B out at the time so i got lucky, heard of some that had alot more out and took alot of hits, a warning might be ideal. The option to opt out i thought was a good move for people who didnt want to join in, i know its a contentious issue but there are players who are more casual than the pvp crowd, everyone has their own reasons for playing. I tried to get involved in the spirit i thought it should be played in, i hit battle list and returned hits, for the most part i seen the same in return.
Loved the event. It got inactives back into the game. Mayhem ruled. Im looking fwd to the next pvp event. Length is fine. Agree no opt out. Not a fan of changing the rules after the predictable eb player backlash, but the event was, on the whole fantastic. Chasing sword and stealing shards...great features. Im not personally a fan of giving notice anout this. The shock of gold out when it started was hilarious and added to the energetic start. War is not predictable...and nor should the pvp event start time be known. A pvp event has beem a long time coming. Big fan. Lets not wait years until the next one. Thank you devs.
1 thing ive noticed is people dont seem to be considering that a short event will advantge/disadvantage certain timezones. having the event over a week i feel the effect is negated somewhat.
Event was great! Enjoyed almost all of it. Didn't really liked to wake up to see I've lost around 70% of my shards to people X2 my size with no real option to pound them back. But hey, I found others that funded me with shards. In all fairness event was grate. For the future though Devs should announce it a day or two in advance. Also think about hit limits. Although some just shout at me and say "it's a war game. Deal with it" and "grow your build" or something, but it's not a good sport when Lb players can pile on the small ones who are X2 -x4 smaller giving them no chance whatsoever for comeback. Also shard payout should be less so someone who makes it to top 10 don't have to spend last 30 hrs pinning himself in order not to wake up and be at the bottom of lb. Anyhow - thanks devs for bringing this entertaining event to kaw!
Event was great, some things are sad : 1. many are too weak or dumb to pvp alone and need their whole clan to back them up(they will never learn to fight alone=( ). 2. As already mentioned in other threads and also in this -> the shard win / loss ratio is phew... Quite hard. I self pinned with sword for 19 hours a day, forget to pin once in 15 min-> 400 shards gone ?๎ 3. No way people reached 24k-30k(or whatever will be highest score) shards without exploiting devs should take a look at it. 4. The sword is gone now I want it as a permanent spell in KaW. Simply drop some random swords with same rules as the current was. 5. 24 hours announcement before event starts would be cool. 6. I don't have a problem with hit restriction, I can farm hfbc hansels and they can farm me, no big deal at all.(towered attackers are quite annoying when hitting from pin though). 7. I'm drunk atm and think the grammar i use is probably horrid. 8. Duration was good as it was. 9. Opting out should forbid the noobs who did it to hit any epic battle for double the time the event lasted. It also should force the player to wear a pink shiny fairy banner. Furthermore those players should pay 50% more gold when being farmed after event and lose 100% more. Something like that, idc, opting out is ****** up with those noobs posting wc, spamming ads or simply being annoying. 10. Blood rain plunder bonus should not be a mithril spell. Would make it much easier to search blades on battle list ๎ 11. I'm out and hope the 10 points above made any sense
Argoli - i'd disagree with point 1 - i enjoyed the fact it made clans work together - helping people find high shard payers and blade holders - proper clan unity and an osw feel
Hi vix.I loved the event i feel though there should be a cap on the level the larger accts can hit for sometime there no matter how many crystals i used or mith i couldnot return fire and when i could reurn the amount they got from me and the amount i got back was not even close
Two things that need to be changed: 1) Definitely need hit restrictions! My BL were full of people who were double my size. I'd constantly be attacked by 40+ mil CS people, thus not giving me much choice but to go after builds with smaller stats than me or hansels in order to make up for shards lost. 2) Shards pillaged shouldn't be based off how many shards a person has, but rather by build size between the attacker and the defender. A 40+ mil CS build should make 1-2 shards if not none attacking someone of my stats and likewise if I attack someone who has less stats than me. Other than that, the event was a blast!
Even if they do an opt out option again, make it to where those out of event can't buy the allies of those in event. Someone bought a near 1T ally from me today.. And I was a minute from being out of pin. Otherwise, I loved it.
