    All clans that got no match are shown in red in the list below. The list is sorted by relative strength ranking, BFA, BFE as well as CS. It's a rough estimate of where your clan's roster is in strength compared to other rosters that signed up. The best way to get a match is to look at clans within 1 or 2 ranks above or below you. Look at their roster and try to build a roster that will be able to hit them.

    So many clans right next to each other in strength range, how were their hit ratios so poor that none of them could match each other?

    Edit: To clarify... I am not complaining. I am very disappointed but it is a legitimate question. A lot of the clans above build their rosters around the same; 10-12 gh/sh & 8-10 attack builds... sometimes a mid or two or a hansel is thrown into the mix...

  4. Devs, why can't you have a notice to clans when they opt in for war that will say: " Your current roster as a poor hit ratio, change it before matchup."?
     
  5. Is this current state of warring what devs had in mind when implementing ee? 50% participants under 4 mil cs ? 80% no matches or crap matches?

    If not then do something about it already. Id support canceling the season to iron out issues and work towards a fix. It will make the game better.

    What else can the devs do with so few clans signing up? It's impossible to make every, single match perfectly fair.

    You either get unfair matchups or you get no matchup.

  9. Best idea ↑ hit ratio has only brought us a load of no-matches. Sure, S1 had bad matches, but every war I signed up for actually was a war instead of ending up with tvp 99% of the time. And sure we had bad matches in S1, but there are still bad matches in S3 now so hit ratio hasn't fixed that either.

  10. The amount of clans signing up is direct effect of the roster stacking issue and the no match is same reason... Lol this was predicted months ago....
     
  11. Eliminating it will just allow clans to go back to completely stacked rosters, why not have an internal hit ratio that forces clans to have a reasonable hit ratio within their own clan to sign up for war.

    It would mean clans had to either war with large builds or small builds only, or if you had lb and SH in the same clan it would have to have a lot of miss to meet sign up hit ratio.

  15. Eliminating hit ratio might be worst idea ever..... No more gh rosters.... All stacked rosters.... Devs need to find middle ground.

    I think a roster with set "stat ranges" per roster spot would be worth a shot; four spots 1-5 mil , 4 spots 6-10 mil, 4 spots 11- 15 mil 4 spots 15-20 mil, 4 spots 20 mil

    Or something like that. Yes we'd have to merc if no spot in our clan , but at least every clan would be looking for ALL builds and stat ranges.

    Any idea is a good idea worth trying at this point 
     
  16. @ kaw, Why not let 24 people signup for a roster of 20? Then, when you run your algorithm matchup, pick 4 in each clan to sit out. It might not be cool for these 4, but at least the others can war. There, you have it, a greater chance for match ups.

  18. Have you guys beta tested the matching system I proposed? I just added a description of a way to give it increased fidelity matching if there are enough clans signed up, which I've been thinking about for the past few days.

    Do you have this state data saved from this war that this thread is about? Can you run it with the system I described and see what percent difference threshold (I suggested 20% as a starting point) would result in almost no No Matches for this exact war's signup?

    If you don't have a snapshot of this war's applicants, can you take one of an upcoming war, and run it through the process I described? If that threshold can be set low enough, the matchups should be fair and fun. If you have to jack it up to like 50% that's no good. I've fought matchups in the current system with a 50% difference in clans CS from buildings. It sucked. If the threshold can be like 10 or 20% and have a high match rate, it should kick ass
     
  19. Yoda that's a great suggestion but that's a slightly complex iterative process that might take too long to get matchups all set. It would also be annoying for those who sign up and then can't participate in the war, and are locked in the clan because of roster lock.

    Roster lock is implemented wrong too, it seems like it was a band-aid. The only people that should be locked are those who have woc cast at signup. Anybody else should be able to come and go. But that's a different topic
