  1. Saviour From The Skies

    Chapter One

Two men with large wings and halos appear floating and gazing down at a small village called, "Angel Falls". One of the two men was slightly taller and muscular than the other. The muscular one speaks to the other, "You have come a long way, Attilius, Guardian of Angel Falls."
"It is because of you, Master Hadrian.", Attilius says.
Hadrian gazes outward into Angel Falls, as he begins to speak, "Attilius, Guardian of Angel Falls, do you know the importance of us Guardians?"
"Master Hadrian, our purpose is to roam the mortal realm, keeping these people safe and out of harm," Attilius says. "They look up to the Guardian statue as if it gives them protection."
Hadrian and Attilius both look down at the small village, as they see a few villagers chatting and running around. A dog runs about, barking at a couple bystanders.
"When Tetriatus Major told me to take you under my wings as an apprentice, I never thought that you would come to be such a keen and alert Guardian.", Hadrian says.
"But there is one thing that I still cannot process in my mind.", Attilius begins to speak. "If we are supposed to be heroes, why must we be invisible to the world?"
Hadrian openly shows that he is a little worried to answer Attilius' question. But he speaks up. "Attilius, you will later learn about what you ponder about. Right now is not the time t-"
It seemed to Attilius that Hadrian was stunned. Attilius pondered about it for a little, but couldn't work up the courage to say something
"What is the problem, Master?" Attilius finally asks, reluctantly.
"Come with me right now.", Hadrian demands, as he flies downward past the small village.
Attilius started to be suspicious about Hadrian, as Hadrian never acted weird when he was with Attilius. Attilius shrugged and flew in Hadrian's direction until he touched down behind a large boulder, where Hadrian was. Attilius couldn't see from behind his Master's shoulders, but now he knew that there was a disturbance.
"Take a look." Hadrian said with a serious tone in his voice.
Hadrian stepped back as he let Attilius to peer from behind the rock. Attilius walks up and loooks out. He sees an old man and a young lady walking towards Angel Falls. Attilius couldn't really see what was going on until he saw a couple rabid foxes charging at them, quietly, from behind.
"It's your job to protect these people," Hadrian says. "You must not let these wretched monsters prey on innocents."
Attilius took out his sword with a determined look on his face. Hadrian mouthed a word at Attilius, and the message was clear:
    Go.
Attilius flew over in front of the foxes and sliced one of their eyes. The fox cowered back and growled at Attilius. Attilius swung his sword at the other fox and cut it's head off. He walked over to the other fox, and broke it's skull under his foot. Hadrian flew by Attilius and said, "Good work, Attilius."
Hadrian and Attilius' attention turned towards the elderly man and the young woman. The old man looked up to the skies as he and the young lady approached Angel Falls. "Hahh...Here it is...Angel Falls," The old man huffed. "Don't ever get old, little Erinn."
The young lady, apparently named Erinn, rolled her eyes. "Don't be so melodramatic grandpa!" She says. "The important thing is that we're back at Angel Falls."
Erinn chuckled, then walked with her grandfather towards the enterance of Angel Falls. Erinn kneeled down, and said, "Attilius, Guardian of Angel Falls, thank you very much for letting us travel to our destination without any hinderances."
After the thanks was given, Erinn and her elder walked into Angel Falls. But as Erinn walks into the village, a small, green crystal appears out of the air, and floats to Attilius' hands. Attilius grasps the crystal, and Hadrian turns toward Attilius. "Behold Attilius, Vertissence." Hadrian began. "This is the very thing we strive for. Other than protecting the mortals, we collect Vertissence to feed Yggdrasil, The Great World Tree. Once Yggdrasil is in full bloom, we will have fufilled our purpose. The Legendary Chariot will then, take us to our resting place."
Hadrian nodded at Attilius, and both of them took off in flight, going in an upwards direction.
