My father died my family became desperate. Eventually we had one choice to steal what needed or starve to death.
My family had quickly turned against me after I found father's hidden stash of gold coins and jewelry. I had no choice but to quickly grab what I could and leave. I never really knew how evil people became when money was involved...sadly, I do now. And now I'm laying here, in the middle of some forest, hoping they won't find me.
Suddenly, I heard a rustle in the bushes. The intense, searing pain of my leg suddenly stopped as adrenaline rushed through my body. I gathered myself up and threw myself into a small rabbit hole into a tree. "Did you find her?" I overheard "No, but keep looking, I see gold coins on the ground" So I sat there, for hours and hours.
After a ludicrously long wait, I saw a man. He was limping towards me, clearly in pain, but I saw no wounds. As I rushed to grab him to keep him from collapsing, I heard him whisper "No need to help. It is my time." Shocked, I backed away. "I am a Grammar Wizard. I thrive off of good writing. However, even we starve, or are poisoned. I have seen too many a tense change in this story we are in." With those words, he gasped, and fell to the ground.
