Riddle Week - Riddle #5

  1. It's Riddle #5 time!

The last riddle had only one correct answer - if you read my 2nd post on the first page, I said that I was going to be a little mean and only award the correct answer that I was thinking of! Yes, temperature, pressure, the Earth etc are all correct, but I wasn't thinking of them!
The one I was thinking of, was an empire (since I was thinking of the 300 sequel at the time  ).
With this in mind, the only correct answerer was Pi_, so I'll award you the full 10 points.
    Congratulations!

For all the riddles from now, I will ONLY be accepting the LAST answer of each person - so chose your words carefully! This still means you can guess as many times as you like, but your final guess is the one I'll be counting.

    So here is Riddle #5:

A form of life is what I hold,
    A pleasant life to behold.

They say that I'm a lovely thing,
But don't consider the use I bring.

    What am I?

As with many of my riddles, this one has a few answers. I will only accept the answer that I based this riddle on! I'm sorry that this is the case - I'm not good enough to isolate my answer from other possible answers, without making the riddle too easy! :(

As always, answers posted after 12 hours will not be counted.

  2. An empire really. Those other answers were way better and made sense.

  3. a mother? oh I'm terrible at riddles lol

  4. A plant, a tree

  5. A flower

  6. Peace or Peaceful?

  7. Male body part

  8. Dude..lame. An empire is a physical thing, and an entity...and touches the ground. The empire in Star Wars even has a cloud city. The Roman empire's capital was...I'm pretty sure...Rome.....which if I recall correctly is very much on terra firma....a.k.a...the ground. Lol....amused.

  9. Well..the English language has around 7 million words and probably 1 or so million of them would satisfy the subset created by this 'riddle'...so...pass. lol

  10. Woman?

    Hardship

  11. A disease?

  12. Such crap an empire touches the ground.. The sun and moon don't and fit that riddle way better... Riddles are supposed to be made and tested for problems like the last ones vagueness. I recommend using riddles that have already been made rather than making up misleading and vague riddles that have silly nonsensical answers.

  13. But, a mind or a flower are good answers.
