Resetting and why you should ignore Razor's guide.

  1. Few things in the forums make me cringe as much as seeing someone who does not understand the game completely attempt to make a “How to” forum to “help” others. The worst of these guides would have to be “Razor’s Grand Guide to Success”. Never has one put in so much time and effort to make such truly mediocre material.
Usually guides just explain, but Razor’s uses his to rant about how he hates pwars and noobs. It would be if your Mac user manual kept talking about how terrible Windows is.
It is hard to know where to begin in correcting such a terrible guide, so let me take it on bit by bit. This thread will focus on resetting.

Razor gives this advice on resetting:

“IMO, Resetting is way unworthy because it resets everything you worked for except your Nobilities, Crystals, and that's it. Resets do have a good side though- they give you small bonuses:
    •3% more attack and defense
•3% more spy attack and spy defense
    •5% more attack and defense
•5% more spy attack and spy defense
I seriously do NOT support it.”

Well, Razor, if you do not support resetting, then you are seriously a noob that has never been in a major system war or strip war before. 8% increase is a huge advantage and definitely worth the time of resetting if done properly.
Let’s look at it mathematically with an example. The attack stat on my Hlbc hitter is just over 200mil, a common stat for most Hlbc builds. However since it has done four resets, it’s actually strength is an extra 16 mil higher, for a total of 216 mil.
Now to get the same increase from allies I would have to buy at least four Hlbc allies, which in the present ally market (Dec 2, 2011) is an investment of at least 350 billion each, all for a total of 1.4 trillion. 1.4 trillion is a hefty sum of money no matter who you are, and a spy build would be even more expensive, maybe 2 trillion at today’s prices.
Now, how much do you need to get LC? A mere 12 billion or so meaning that a set of four resets costing 48 billion has a payoff of at least 1.4 trillion when you Hlbc. And the 8% is better than allies because it cannot be stripped away.
As for the time it takes to reset, this can be greatly reduced if you know how to volley money properly between accounts. This may cost a little more, but the payoff is well worth it. It took me just under two weeks to conplete 4 resets on my accounts.
In short, I strongly recommend you ignore Razor’s noobish remarks about resetting. In fact, I’ll lead by example by resetting my very account later on today. lol
    :D

  2. Post with ur main

  3. People forget that the bonuses are nice, but it's really the ally slots that are key. You can hold more allies, enabling many things possible that aren't for non-reset accounts. Personally I like round numbers so I prefer 5 resets to 4. But that's just my slight OCD issue coming out.

Anyways, for once I'm actually not fighting against philosopher, such a rarity I'm in shock. But why post this in a new thread? And not on his only, if you did in fact post his thread? Idk if you did or didn't. Didnt read is thread and not really interested in reading it. And if you're really good, 1 reset per day can be accomplished without too much trouble.

  4. My own hate thread :3. And I have been in [off] system wars  If I was a noob, how did I get into WiT? o_O They don't let noobs in obviously. Seriously though, did you really have to make a thread rant just for me? I'd like to see you try to reset me though. The only way you can is by hacking me, but I'm pretty sure you don't want to do something illegal for such ridiculousness. Good luck! And thanks for your input 

  5. A little correction. I think I will reset this account after I accomplish all the quests and get all the crystals. lol Sorry for the delay.

  6. By the way, don't hate on me just because I don't like resets. It's a waste of time. It's also my opinion and you can't change that.

  7. Razor, there are noobs in every clan. Wit is no exeption. In short, you are ignorant about resets. You should revise your guide.

  8. Razor, don't get me wrong. I don't hate you. I'm just pointing out to everyone how incredibly bad your guide is. I don't necessarily hate noobs like you.

  9. Ok, you shouldve just said that instead of making such hullaballoo over this. There was no reason to make a thread to threaten me  Did you forget there was a wall and that you can comment on a thread?

  10. @ cloud. Yes the ally slots are important too especially if you are in strip wars a lot. I just thought my point could be proven by focusing on the 8% bonus, which is huge in real war, not like what Razor says. I guess he hasn't done much of that.

  11. Razor. I didn't threaten you. I'm just pointing out how noobish your guide is. How about you proving why resetting is so bad? Impress me.

  12. Know what's really noobish?

    Talking **** on an alt

  13. What was that about not threatening me?

And I don't have to prove anything to "impress you".

  14. Hmm. I read razor guide and thought it confusing, but maybe it because my English is bad. It is guide, but he spend so much time complain about the noobs and pwar. He hate pwar but tells us to do EBs! Lol. I think it could be time to rewrite it and remove all the ranting. Maybe then philosopher not so upset.

  15. Btw Razor, philosopher is rude, but he right about the resets. I just finish stripwar and the resets help so much.

  16. We're both right. It's my opinion on resets and it's going to stay that way.

  17. Razor. REad it again. I said "I will LEAD BY EXAMPLE by resetting MY account later today. "
