  1. Redemption-

    Prologue-

How do you explain death? I don't believe there is a true definition, only what one believes. In my opinion death is a happy time worthy of being celebration, not a time to grieve. Shouldn't we celebrate someones good life? I think so. Well, what if you're a criminal and all you have too keep you company is a really mean cell-mate named Bruce and a journal? Death is the better option. Life on prison is awful, the food, the company, the clothes are so uncomfortable, and many other things are wrong. What ever you do don't go to prison. I know you're asking yourself "why should I listen to this guy?" Well, I'm not sure. Maybe you just like me. Though today is a special day, today is when I make my escape.

How did I get into prison? I accidentally killed a guy. Seriously though it was pretty easy, he was just so annoying stopping every five minutes to point out a type of rock, that he already pointed out five minutes ago. Sorry I'm rambling. Anyways, everyone wants to throw me into the volcano. The volcano god, Etna Cyning is angry (maybe because I killed an inmocent, but annoying man) and wants something. Out prophet, Joshua is trying to interpret a riddle. I think it goes something like this, "The evil done, on and on, cannot be removed. The person who did it cannot be changed until a sacrifice has been made. The created shall die, for all others to arise."

I get told these sorts of things because the guards believe it makes me feel guilty and have a really low self esteem. It doesn't do either because I haven't seen it for myself...yet!

Today is the day that I break free and find out what damage I may have actually caused. I can't always trust the guards. They have lied to me in the past for amusement. Today I may also move somewhere else to avoid getting caught again. Plus I have always wanted to leave. You wouldn't really understand unless you lived it. I live in a tribe with a chief and rules. God I hate rules. They are only made to be broken. We also worship that volcano dude I mentioned earlier. It's almost time for me to escape. I'm planning to go when the guards switch positions and move to guard a different set of cells. Let's do this...

    Chapter 1-

    So, here's the plan...
1-Wait for the stupid guards to switch positions
2-wait for them to start talking to each other about prisoners and what to watch put for
3-Unscrew the window and push it out
    4-climb out and replace window

Pretty simple right? It sounds more complicated than it is. Then the clock rang.

"Time to switch." One of the guards said with a happy tone of voice. No one likes guarding me apparently. That is a good thing.

"Bye Bruce. I'm really not going to miss you!" I said

"You're escaping?" he asked very confused.

    "Yes. Bye Bruce."

"Please take me with you." He begged. Bruce is a tough guy with a buzz cut (oh wait we all have buzz cuts) that makes him look tougher. He has really dark brown hair and brown eyes to match. He is probably a good 200 pounds of muscle and is like 5'11. I look about the same, but I have lighter hair, I only weigh about 150 and I am only 5'7. I'm not short though, I'm fun size.

"Are you going to fit through that window?"

"No, but there's a hole right there that I can easily make bigger." he argued.

"Fine. I'll wait five minutes out there. Only five though, so be quick." I said as I started unscrewing the window.

The window popped out and I hoped out. After securing the window, I used my stealth and escaped over the huge fence. I know what you're thinking "why does a jail not have guards near the gates?" well they do just not on the back side. They never thought anyone would escape. I'm the first! Bruce will be the second.

I saw some of the bricks lightly being tossed out and eventually the hole was big enough to fit Bruce. He walked out, attempting at stealth. The guards heard the bricks bein thrown out though and the alarm was sounded. Now we have to run for our lives.

  2. Chapter 2-

They're coming for us. We are running through the woods that surrounds our village, but the volcano has burnt down most of the trees. It's not a very good place to hide.

"Jason!!! Down here!!!" Bruce yelled as he ran down into a shaft. The shafts are very common once you get close to the volcano. We must be almost out of the forest.

"Don't stop running. They may have seen us come down here." I told him. From personal experience I knew they would eventually find us down here, but I wasn't going to tell Bruce that.

"That was close." Bruce said as we slowed our pace to a walk. I was tired of running, but I know my running has just begun.

"Yeah, too close." I replied. Bruce looked at me as if he had seen a ghost, "What's wrong?"

"Why are you in my hide out?" a female voice said angrily. A women came out from the shadows and put a dagger to my throat as well as Bruce's.

"We are hiding from the cops." Bruce said.

    "Who are you?"

"I'm Bruce and that's Jason." he said pointing to me.

    "Hi."

"I'm Scarlett." She said as I noticed she had a sword and another dagger strapped to her hip. She semmed to have had swords behind her back as well, a very well armed maiden. She lowered the knives from our throats and continued by saying, "You seem to be harmless."

"So many swords..." I said as I noticed how beautiful her brown hair looked in the light. It was braided to the side and almost touched her hips. I can't say she was very tall, maybe 5 foot? I'm not quite sure. She was wearing a soft, emerald green shirt that had a beautiful blue pattern in the front. She wore black leggings to match with some light combat boots. Her eyes were what stood out the most, they were hazel with slight hints of gold in them.

"Yeah, I am very well armed. I've encountered many despicable creatures in these tunnels. I've needed them in the past." Scarlett said.

"What kind of creatures?" Bruce asked.

"I've seen some creatures I can't explain, I need to show them to you. This task is going to be very dangerous and you're life maybe threatened, are you ready?" Scarlett asked.

  3. Chapter 3-

"No, not really." Bruce said as he flinched. It was weird seeing a tough guy scared, but this was only the start of our journey.

    "Defiantly." I said.

"Follow me." Scarlett said as she started walking down a long, narrow, tunnel. Her brown hair glimmered as she walked and I already decided I was going to protect her no matter what.

    "Alright."

"Is there any food down here?" Bruce asked.

"No not really," Scarlett said. "Only a little bit of fruit and some potatoes."

    "Potatoes?"

"Yeah, there are farmers right above us and there is a patch of dirt where we can steal some food."

    "Oh."

    "That makes sense."

"Now please shut up we are getting close."

We turned a few corners and I heard a noise. It could have been one of those monsters or something. I was right. Just as I thought that a giant, orange, hairy spider walked out. It was gigantic!!!

"Ok. These guys won't hurt you unless you tick them off or kill them." Scarlett warned.

"So stabbing them isn't a good idea?"

    "No!" I yelled at Bruce.

    "Ok, ok." He replied.

We walked for what felt like weeks, but I knew could have only been an hour or two. Tree was voices coming from around the corner.

"Ok guys so, do u have weapons?"

    "Umm... No." I replied.

"Take these." she said as she handed us some swords.

"Why do you carry so many swords."

"Because of these guys. Be prepared to be shocked. These guys may look like Anubis..."

"Wait, like the Egyptian god??" I asked.

"Yeah, but they are evil and live to kill humans."

Then we decided to turn the corner...

  4. An- I know it's been forever. But I've been busy. This is short so sorry.

    Chapter 4-

How can Anubis be on earth??? Well maybe Greek gods aren't fake after all. We peeked past the corner and were amazed. The most beautiful creatures were there. Well not exactly beautiful, but amazing. I was speechless.

"Don't let then see you." Scarlett said.

    "Why?" Bruce asked.

"They'll kill you on the spot. Bruce, she went over this earlier."

"Do you hear something?"A voice that wasn't ours asked.

    "No sir."

"Check around that corner." He said.

"RUN!!!!" I yelled. We darted, but they saw us. We were attacked from all sides. Thank God I know how to use a sword or I'd be dead. We were taken, abducted, kidnapped, whatever you choose to call it. This was not going to be fun.

"What do we do?" I asked.

"I don't know. Let me think." Scarlett replied.

Bruce was praying. I think I have seen everything. It looked like they were taking us to a city. People were getting dragged by leashes. The Anubis, dog, things started pulling us up a hill and too what looked to be a slave shop.

This is not going to end well.
