  1. Añy players looking to do some epic battles and make cash or just grow sign up with awesome family or even experienced players that would like to help a clan start up.

  2. If you really want new members, make this thread better. Otherwise it belongs to WC. But support.

  3. Devs, this is why the cost of making a clan needs to be higher. A person who has barely over 1m cs has a clan, barely knows how to play the game, and can't even complete ebs on their own shouldn't be able to own a clan.
These clans are destined for failure and clog up the community. It's bad business as well because a lot of newbies come to these clans and get a bad experience and think the whole game is based off of that experience.

    /end rant

  4. Great thread. Do you have to use seals there that are dropped there?

  5. Here's an analogy to what you're saying.
"Oh, poor people shouldn't be allowed to work because they make so little and can't contribute significantly to society."
    See what's wrong with that?

Let small players make clans. It'll die out on its own when he can't sustain it.
I don't see it causing any noticeable clog in the system. Everybody deserves a chance. If he wants to own a clan, so be it. It doesn't really affect your KaW activity. He'll figure out that it takes strength and power to run a clan. (Stats)

You can't really control where our new players go or what their experience here is, no matter how many restrictions are imposed to try and streamline it.

  6. Wtf? The first guy is saying he shouldn't be using an open public forum the way he chooses, and the second guy is saying he shouldn't be allowed to have a clan.

It's a good thing they don't make the rules.

  7. I suggested him to make the thread better too.

  8. Sure, they'll learn that they can't sustain a clan, but why go through the "learning process"? There are plenty of beginner clans run by people who can teach them the ropes. Why not go there, learn, grow, and then move on to make your own clan if you want? Why jump right off the bat and make a failed clan and ruin the experience for a newbie that joins it thinking they will get something out of it?

  9. I think the devs should implement a system whereby a player must first go through an interview process with -mei-, to see if they qualify to start their own clan.

  10. Maybe because just like some of our home countries this is a free game where players are entitled to choose whichever path they'd like.
Perhaps because he can and none of us should dictate the way he chooses his gameplay on a free game and that is the intrinsic principle here.

Will I advice him about it? Yes. That's as far as I can go. I'm not going to impose restrictions on him just because I may be unhappy with what he's doing.

Sometimes the only way to truly understand something is to experience it firsthand. Just like he/she will learn what to takes to run a clan after this attempt of theirs.

  11. I understand where you are coming from but that free country analogy is one of the worst comparisons. Free isn't what you think it means. Free countries still have rules and guidelines, those of which are there to make sure people can learn to be up standing citizens. These lead us in the direction to help us learn the right way and wrong ways of doing things. And I suppose it could also be translated into a "free game".

Anywhos, I'm dropping it, at least on this poor soul's thread. I've clogged/derailed it enough.

  12. I see no reason a small clan shouldn't be allowed to run, having run multiple small clans myself, the people you meet makes it worth more then any clan you're a member of.
•EBs were never meant to be done solo.
•Stats may be a bit small
•Why would people owning a clan be bad for business, have you studied business at all?
•I would argue newbies get a good experience under the right circumstances
    •They don't clog up anything

Now op, the thing is you really should get more experience and try admining or co-owning a clan, plus work on your stats at the same time.

If you're looking to improve your thread there are guides for making recruitment threads.

  13. Oh come on. People are arguing over the obvious here. This thread is low effort and belongs in world chat. It's not what the forums are for contrary to some posts on here. Now a clan thread listing: clan intro, alliances, council, requirements, etc is what the forums for.

I agree that the cost of a clan needs to go up. The noobs creating clans can't teach our beginners and it's one major reason they quit from bad experience. When these clans fail the noobs just wasted what they could have used to upgrade. I remember when owning a clan actually meant you had prestige in the game in all or most aspects of kaw. Every clans leader could teach game mechanics. Now new players join these noobs clans who can't explain what wars are.

To even change this, though, devs can't just up the cost of clans we also need experienced players to reopen some great training clans; however there is slim to no selflessness left on KaW.

Tl;dr The kawmmunity needs to work together.

  14. Huff... Mod/VK ran starter clans, automatically allocated into them upon completion of tutorial (have an opt out of tutorial button for alt accounts)

There you go, no boob clans that will fail, new players get decent lessons and are less likely to leave.

  15. But it's ok for you to hijack and derail someone else's thread for your own soapbox moment.

    Way to be a champ.

  16. I agree with mei, clan cost should be raised, if a noob makes a clan then recruit other noobs, when the clan fails all the noobs will quit

  17. I'm pretty sure the #1 in the clan is the owner and not the op, geniuses. Op is just trying to promote it, good luck to you op

  18. Locking this for a few reasons.

It's not a debate thread for the merits of clan ownership or price. And..

It's not forum worthy - as others have said, a one-liner post goes in wc and not in forums.

OP, there are a few great threads in Off Topic about how to make a good thread. Otherwise, model it off the recruitment threads under Clans. Or, if your recruiting smalls, I am happy to add you to my Homes thread.

    /lock.
