This is an opinion, Item drop is completely random like a lottery.. People that hit EB are entered into lotto pick. Now sometimes what may happen is that the item drop is given to someone who already has the item and therefore the item is not dropped. One thing i have seen most of lately is multiple clans coming together and splitting the ebs up. For example clan A does FOD, clan B does COD, Clan C does Destroyer. The only people allowed in those clans must have min comb stats for said EB and not have the item for EB. Finishing the EB in a timely matter seems to help also with drop. i saw history of one clan that a guy had 41 actions on COD and got the treasure. There is no formula it is random selection by way of programming. I imagine each participant in EB is assigned a number once active in EB then at end a random number generator with parameters on numbers picks a few lucky peeps. So happy hunting guys, stop over thinking it. besides 10% increase to raw stats really isnt that much... Take your raw attk stat and multiply it by 0.10. That number is the only increase you get. Keep in mind i said raw stats not your bonus to allies!!!
There is a flaw with the percentage theory as how many people you think hit on theose specific percentages. Also programming would be more difficult that way. According to the percentage theory everyone who hits at those percentages would get item drop..
Also in reference to the 10% bonus to stats, consider this. Allies can easily give you that stat bonus. Many people have better attack stats than Red-Star but he is more powerful because of Allies not a silly sword. Suggestiono more Hauntings, buy more allies. Dont search for items they will come when they come.
A HCBC troop build has prob somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 mil atk, give or take depending on if they went Titan or CF heavy. So lets use 200 mil as a rough average. 10% to atk being 20 mil. Now go take a look at ally prices and do some quick math and estimate how many hauntings u will need to do to equal that sword with bfa. Pure spy gonna have more than 150 mil in spy atk stats, giving the spy 15 mil bonus to atk if they got sword. Again, look at the market and count cost for 15 mil spy atk bfa. Im not a spy build, granted, but i think that's pretty close. Either way, that's a pretty big bonus. I know HCBC player that don't even have that high of a bfa. Anyway, just my two cents about wether or not 10% is a big bonus. I would say so. If you have enough gold to go add 15-20 mil atk in bfa to your main then go for it. In the meantime, I'm sure that ppl still searching for equip. will collaboratively try to figure out a strategy
@ silvra this is true that computers cannot be random as there is a pattern to the randomness as keyed by a programmer. But it would take years to learn this pattern as i image the ata guys used some sort of programming software that has a random code format in it. that had to be programmed by a programmer. I would imagine the program written to generate random number is extremely long and probably originates with whoever wrote the prgramming software and it may have a parttern every 1000 digits or every trillion. So by all means try and find a pattern to this. I know I dont have the time in RL to research this but nonetheless lets call it random for sanity sake. Lets not be the guy in the movie Pi and start drilling holes in our head. (For any that havent seen the movie, summed up guy went crazy finding a pattern to the stock market) Ohhh side thought what if random number generator is based on the number Pi... as it is a decimal point that consists no pattern..... If you took that number and brokw it up in sections and had some sort of random sorter do the work for ya HMMMM...
@darkblade i like the input but Os clarified my argument. It would be easier to save the money to buy the allies than to discover some surefire method to getting random item drop. As buying allies is predictable and can be planned for. You can't hit an EB and say "Oh yeah im gonna get it this time because I'm gonna do what some guy posted in a thread." One would be better off spreading pixie dust on iDevice or Computer than trying to solve the "Item Drop Theory."
Agree with everything you've said except that the drop is "random". The devs have already said it's not random.
