So I, like many of you reading, am a Hansel. A growing Hansel, what's more. And I, for a brief moment, considered upgrading all my SOS's to T5 (still haven't learned the name) before buying my next land. Then I remembered my lover, mathematics. What you shall need to know to follow along is this. My next land is 160B. T5 costs 26.3B. SOS gives 64,960 BTA. T5 gives 71,400 BTA. Onward, to glory 71400 - 64960 = 6440 most stats for upgrading to T5. With 186B, I can buy a new land and build a T5 building on it, OR I can convert 7 SOS's into T5s. Buying a new land would net me 71,400 more stats, while converting would net me 45,080. So as you can see, it is thoroughly more productive for me to save for a new land. We can now ask ourselves, {in voice of old man Riley} when will it be a good idea to convert? Well, I'm glad you asked Riley! It's better to convert when 71400 < 6440X when X = C/26.3 (c is cost in billions) in other, simpler terms, 71400 < 244.87C!!! now we just divide each side by 244.87 to find out that C must be greater than 291.6B. In other words, it's only viable to convert your SOS's when you're about to buy your last land. Now I'll leave it to you to decide, but I'd personally have all lands unlocked... So as you can see, it's essentially always a better idea to buy a new land over upgrading to T5, and unless T5 offers drastic benefits (such as a wonderful increase in plunder) this will be the strategy I stick with. P.S. Made the colors darker. I forgot mobile uses a white background hope it's easier to read now.
Makes sense. However, you will eventually want a Volary instead of that SOS since it will have higher stats with the next levels, so you will save the ~28 bill cost of a max SOS if you just build the Volary.
He's going to put a volary on the new land, but he's not not going to convert the SOS he already has.
So, is it best to continue my Guild-to-SoS conversion (considering the 50% off) on my lowlands or not?
Ah, thanks for that. One other catch, you get 5 bill back from selling a max SOS, so the cost each replacement is actually ~21, about 1/5th cheaper than you calculated for.
I had considered the refund value, but it didn't affect the results, so I figured I'd keep it simple and ignore the resell value. I knew someone would point it out though
