Hi all, I know I could post this in Dillybar's questions thread, but I feel as though I won't get an in-depth answer. I was wondering how defense towers work in Estoc Wars. My main is part of a small clan, and the common strategy for clans at that level in Estoc Wars is to have the smaller players scout-bomb and attack-bomb the enemy to help KO them. I was wondering... Do defense towers help play a role in reducing the number of troops lost when some smaller player attacks you? I know you will always lose troops in a battle (whether attacked or attacking), but will the tower (spy defense or defense) reduce the losses you take when attacked? I ask this because I saw a build which was something like: 150k/150k/1m/6m (att/def/spa/spd) who had only been 1 KO'ed once, and 22 KO's in EW.
This player would still be relatively easy to KO, for troops hansels would have no unordinary problems getting wins, and for spies I would use attack builds to scout down. Perhaps he wasn't a target because his build is well, not effective.
I didn't use Dilly's thread (I usually use it for questions) this time because usually I do not get a straight answer. Many answers (for my questions) have been something along the lines of, "I'm not completely sure but... " from one person. And then it gets lost in the thread somewhere.
Towers can give a static defense. You still lose the same troops, but you certainly are stronger against attacks when your troops are down, due to towers not being affected by troop count.
With the build listed, I think you'll find it has the mechanics/exploit of the tower build. This would be why he was hardly KO'd. When towers aren't used in the extreme (ie exploit), they provide static defense against attack, assassinations and steals. They do not help with scouts.
