This weekend (JUly 24 @ 12PM PDT - July 27 @ 12PM PDT) we'll be hosting a PvP Blitz event that goes alongside the The Farmer's Journey, Part 3: The Nemesis event. During this Blitz event you'll collect and steal Broken Shackles from players in order to earn Descensio Elixers as a reward to help you with your progress in the main event. PvP Blitz Opt-In To Opt-In to the event, players will need to cast the Death Warrant spell at the Alchemist. NOTE: Straw Manikin will only be available to cast once the weekend event has started. Warning: Opting-in lasts for the ENTIRE PVP BLITZ WEEKEND and there will be no way to opt-out after doing so. Opted in players will: Have their name colored orange to indicate their participation Have a spell indicating their participation on their profile Have their Battle List updated to show only players who have opted-in Golden Sheaves Once opted-in, players will earn Broken Shackles by attacking other opted-in players. These items are both generated AND ARE STOLEN. The number generated depends on the players size. The number stolen depends on the amount of Broken Shackles they currently have. The higher the number they have the more you'll steal. Every 500 Broken Shackles you collect will transform into a Dungeon Keyring. This item cannot be stolen and is what is ultimately used to determine your rewards. Flail of Agony When you hit another opted-in player there's a chance that the Flail of Agony spell is activated. This spell lasts for 24 hours, and has the following properties: Provides you with more plunder when attacking or stealing from opted-in players Allows you to obtain more Broken Shackles items when attacking or stealing from opted-in players Provides you with a chance of creating Mithril out of thin air when attacking or stealing from opted-in players Will be visible on your profile as an active spell CAN BE STOLEN when you are attacked or stolen from by opted-in players. If stolen you will lose the spell, and the attacking player will receive it. Duration is not reset when stolen but continues to count down from where it was for the previous owner. Note: You cannot steal another player's Flail of Agony spell when you have an active Flail of Agony spell yourself. Blood Oath Blood Oath may be purchased in the Marketplace for 59 Nobility Points and casts the Dominant Faction spell on ALL of your current clan members. If you already have Harvest Moon active you will not be able to purchase it until the current spell expires. This spell lasts for 1 hour and has the following properties: Provides you with more plunder when attacking or stealing from opted-in players (This is able to stack with the Flail of Agony spell) Allows you to earn more Broken Shackles when attacking or stealing from opted-in players (This is able to stack with the Flail of Agony spell) Prevents other players from being able to steal your Flail of Agony spell while Dominant Faction is active Will be visible on your profile as an active spell Rewards + Leaderboards Please see the event page in-game to view event rewards and leaderboards. Weekend PvP Blitz events reward players with Descensio Elixir which count towards your totals in the main event. Rewards will be made available for you to collect through the events page shortly after the event ends Keep in mind that because items can be stolen, it's possible to have your reward tier drop..
Is this some special, magical never before seen brand of mtih?? 3 days of PVP = what can be won in one to two hours of warring.
One thing has become apparent as this promo series is in the 3rd incarnation. ....the rewards for the pvp side of the promo are not sufficient for the time and effort involved. Each time the next part in the series has been released, less and less people are casting for pvp as it's 3 days of work and 1 day worth of rewards. 10 Dungeon Keyrings (5000 shackles won) will get you 500 elixers....or the equivalent of about 2 TSG, 2 SS, 2 TS, and 2 AFF. Sorry devs, if you double the rewards from the PVP side, then I think you'll see a decent turnout, like we saw in the first of the series. Until then....you'll see less and less orange every time until very few cast at all and it become truly pointless.
thanatos, what about getting 30 keys? and doing those ebs twuce within the time frame you are awake requires 2h ebs. not so many people do that..
@ CraCkFaRrOkh Certainly there is more value for those in the top tiers....but obviously the vast majority will not get there. Hence, the vast majority have less and less incentive to cast for the pvp side. I was talking more about the masses or the average players.
Unlikely...but any chance the shackle drops can be better than 0%-20% per number of victories in pvp? Then maybe more players might enjoy with at least some chance of getting rewards? Instead of only a few hundred kawers?
Of course the HUGE plunder is no good Conveniently forgot that lil tidbit? Or EB builds don't PvP as well? TIP stay pinned Being selective is not the whole truth..... Nice attempt at spin doctoring though lol
