PvP Random Drops we all agree that PvP needs a overhaul. I thought of some things that could be implemented that may attract more players to PvP. Nobility and Crystal Drops This would work so that crystals and nobs drop randomly. The percentage chance would be similar to the crystal drop rate and nob drop rate in quests. This would possibly even attract eb fairies to pvp as they could get nobs to buy seals. Mithril Drops I think that a random mithril drop chance would be benefical to pvp. Preferably the drop chance would be around 1 in 100 however, this can be played with.
If the rewards were tied to battle list hits (so that you can't simply farm an inactive player or your own alt) it could have possibilities. The most recent PvP gave rewards only if you had opted in and hit other players who had opted in -- that might also work. Cheers, Kage.
Although I do support you argument for the PVP aspect being rewarded, I have three iPods and a nook reader, the abuse potential is huge. I'm no brain stormer at the moment, I'm sneak kawing from work, but any ideas on abuse reduction would likely help sway the devs. Maybe make a mim return hit limit, hit exchange counter or something. I'm out of time right now, but the idea is a good one. I support the general idea
Just throwin this out there. Maybe have it linked to your newsfeed, where you needed to have recieved a hit in the last 24 hours to make the drop chance activate, even have the chances go higher, the more activity, both in and out of your NF. Thus not really rewarding farming, but rewarding true pvp. Now, yes, someone could hit you and you could hit someone else, so if you're stuck in a mismatch, options are still available. Yes I suppose the person you hit could even be inactive. But it would lessen the chance of people just milkin inactives for drops. 0
Only way this would work is if u op in when u get on each day an can only get from peps that r oped in bit u will still have peps farming alts no matter how u do something like this that will always be the down side
I would say nobility is to be dropped from pvp and ebs, that way people can save up for a seal, name change upfront gold and or a regen. After all it will take a while to get any of these, but allows people to get a nice surprise. Explain how one can abuse it when systems can be put in place for example. Next to no drop rate for people you can easily hit. Pvp a hell of a lot of money to maintain pots.
This is true, and I didn't say that you couldn't make it more of a challenge to discourage abusing it, but bear in mind I have two attk builds on my iPods that are both larger than this acct, I can manipulate pots where this acct can succeed on over a half bar, still running def pots, if I drop all pots I can assa and run a full attk bar till my alt goes dtw. You are however, correct in the fact that there are a few ways to lessen abuse potential. As I stated in my first post, I was not in a situation to brainstorm. I was sneak kawing from work. I like the idea of a daily spell to opt in for BL hits, and only opted players can compete, you would have to spend a lot of time trying to farm an alt to gain anything, and I work too much to spend all my free time trying to find my alt, to gain enough nobs for a seal , if the BL mechanics even matched me against my alt, which is unlikely. I am not an over achiever when it comes to hatching complete ideas, but I like to see what others come up with, and everyone toss out ideas. I think thats what OP is looking for. So far, from reading the OP and others suggestions, I think: 1) An opt in spell. 2) Brings you a new BL with players of similar stats. 3) Link actions to newsfeed and require incoming. These are some things that would lower the abuse potential, and I am sure the community can come up with more, and better ideas. I am not a programmer,so I don't know how difficult these kinds of things would be to implement, but because of the last pvp event, I know something like this can be done, but make it a shorter duration, and available at anytime. I couldn't participate in the last pvp event because of my work rotation, but if it were available in 24 hour segments, at my choice of timing, I would gladly join in on my vacations and some of my days off. It would add yet another way to play, which I think is good for the community. I play KaW because it offers many ways to play, and you can find like minded players. I like EE. Some like OSW. Some like to play the ally market. Some people like to run training clans and teach new players the ropes. This idea would offer pvp to people like me, who don't have the time for all out OSW, with a chance at gaining rewards. If you do play the game for the OSW aspect, hopefully all members in each warring faction will cast the spell daily, it would then give the OSW player a chance to gain a few PVP rewards. Ok, sorry for the wall of text, OP I am not trying to hijack your thread, but I took time to post this because in all honesty, it is a good idea and I can say "Support". I hope more of the community can add even better ideas, and get the devs on board.
