This has become a big push of late, and it has me thinking about how you would arrange this. Some players want eq drops for this style of play because it's the way of playing that they prefer. Some of my questions may not have answers yet, and I wonder how the kawmunity will answer. 1. Does the total kawmunity have enough interest to support this that the devs invest resources into it? Yes, we do seem to have plenty of threads going on about this, but it's always the unsatisfied that you hear the most from. This is really not intended as an insult. EE has probably had more complaining in totality than any other issue in kaw. We as a community spend more text on complaining than giving the devs credit for what they do right. 2. Will there be a signing/matching system of some sort like in EE? Since pvp is osw, but with some amount of kaw etiquette, such as it should remain 1 person vs 1 person, will this only be the matching concern? Really, if things like eq or whatever drops are involved, it seems to me that this is inadequate. One person may have more accounts than another, giving the other person a decisive advantage. Though those other accounts can't be involved directly, if it follows the model of pvp now, they can be used in a strip of your enemy. If this doesn't happen, the winner might simply be the player with the most accounts to support the fighting account. What about the size of the fighting accounts? 3. Time limit? Resolution? Will it be until one person says uncle? If there is a time limit and the winner is judged on plunder, then who has the most accounts to support the fighting account and xtals will significantly influence who wins. As I thought about this more and more, it occurred to me that if pvp starts dropping incentives, this will be a dev instituted thing. Then issues of fair play will be involved, such as what I have mentioned above. What this really starts to look like when you think of all this is really just a pvp version of EE. Is that what pvp proponents want this to be? What are some of the idea's the pvp proponents have to make this stand out from EE?
And theres no way in hell I'm gonna spend money on xtals for ee for a CHANCE at winning instead of guaranteed bad ass money from ebs. Eb fairy ftw ️
I made good points in their content update thread last week that had their 3 focuses. Too lazy to go over them in detail again but roughly I suggested battle ranks gained from hitting on the BL, and extra money made when hitting BL. Then something about osw where clans battle using a new system involving clan alliances vs rival alliance
Subtle: I like EE. Gives you the opportunity to fight something that can think for itself. Win or lose, usually it's close and great fun.
