Prologue: (Lieutenant <Yumi> Wong) It happened. War broke out again nearly 6 years after WW4. I had always prayed that this would not happen, but the future is not ours to control. The US declared war on Mexico, Australia on Serbia, Germany on UK and Russia on Canada. I was sent to the new trenches on Russian soil. These trenches were better than the muddy unstable trenches at No Man's Land. For one thing, the walls were solid concrete and the pillboxes had actual tables and beds. The Russians shelled us everyday and we did the same. Occasionally there would be a big attack, where either side would gain a new front-line and lose it when the other side counter-attacked. Chapter 1: (General <Frankie> Lam) I was sent to the HQ in Russia when war broke out. The base HQ was like a city hall. Nothing special other than the fact that most codes and messages came through here. I preferred the trenches though, so I would always go there and stay there. I was amazed at how much better these trenches were compared to those at No Man's Land. Concrete trench walls and pillboxes, a pillbox for every divisional meeting and stable furniture in the pillboxes. I, as a general, could promote soldiers. I found Lieutenant Wong leading three platoon of the B company of the 67th regimental Canadian division. I felt that she had done enough and promoted her to the rank of a Captain. She was arranged to lead the 49th Canadian division. To be continued
Chapter 2 part 1: (Captain Wong) I led a night patrol a few days after General Lam made me a captain. I was to capture a Russian soldier for interrogation. Halfway through, the Russians opened fire randomly but several bullets caught a new lance corporal. The lance corporal collapsed but we eventually caught a prisoner while losing three privates, one lance corporal and a lieutenant. To be continued
Chapter 2 part 2: (Captain Wong) I looked back and decided that it would be suicidal to go and rescue the wounded. Just then, Sergeant Chan got up and went to rescue the wounded sergeant, I think her name was Wing. Anyways a few privates followed that example and rescuing the others while myself and Sergeant Chan, who had handed Sergeant Wing to General Lam, helped me carry the Russian prisoner. I felt that Sergeant Chan deserved the Military Medal for they were the only ones that went into the Russian trench. She was pretty satisfied when she got the medal. So was Sergeant Wing, who received a Victoria Cross for distracting the other Russians in the trench while Chan got a prisoner. The two sergeants were later promoted to HQ Generals, meaning that they worked in the HQ. I was also promoted to HQ General while General Lam was promoted to Field Marshal Lam. To be continued.
Chapter 3: (Field Marshal Lam) I became the field marshal of the HQ in Russia. Three HQ Generals (General Chan, General Wing and General Wong) came with me after that patrol. I later heard that the Royal Air force were moving against the Russian Air Force. Sergeant Chan remarked that both acronyms were 'RAF'. But from the news of our RAF, our pilots were being battered into submission by the Russians. However, we ha more troops and heavy guns and artillery with tanks, planes, AVREs, and better trenches compared to those of the Russians, of which their trenches were held together by wood, clay, and rocks. I was sure we were going to win the war. To be continued
