The way I see it, potions are false economy, the money is better spent in the long run on allies as a potion is one use only (not that I think potions are bad) which gave me an idea a while ago; we have a pretty sturdy hiring system set for allies, what might be interesting is if there was a tempory hiring system too, think of it as hiring an allies' services. The way it could work is this, each player could set a fee for their services (Obviously within reason) and then if another player wants to hire that players' services they pay the fee. That players bonus stats are then added to the buyers' for a set period of time Sounds like potions doesn't it? But: - the fee is a flexible amount - your services can be hired by more than one person at the same time - potions are one time use, services would be time based instead, so a player pays the fee for an hours worth of services - you can't get the money back, on the other hand this is a good way of distributing cash the main benefit would be that, let's say someone is getting farmed or bullied, the victim could afford to hire services for a period of time to deter the aggressor, it would be affordable in contrast to buying that ally. Having the option to set a price for your services is useful to both parties, being cheap helps the buyer, being expensive helps the service provider and if you threw in a system that only allows people to hire a maximum of 5 allies' services at any one time might make the pricing competetive... What do you think? I hope I've explained it well enough...
Just one other point, this would in some sense be the replacement for income from property which is the norm for these games, except you have to earn it by being worth buying rather than steadily accumulating buildings... Just a thought people
Lol and the economy wouldn't be set it would be player run with people estimating thier worths etc. LET'S DO THIS!
They read these forums so yes.... the have a pretty good response time actually if they wish to say something but most ideas they are either implmenting or are waiting for us to finish discussing it and come to a conclusion after which they have no need to post about unless it's annouced in the next update
The only problem is if you hire them for like an hour, what happens if you hire someone and they don't log on within that hour? Also, what happens if you hire someone and they never log on anymore? Not only did you just waste money, if it's a dire situation where you're getting farmed into oblivion the help you need might not come in time if it ever does.
Hemoglobin, you know how current ally bonuses work right? You buy a 100,000 attack an defence ally for example. Whenever you attack and defend that ally bonus is added to your attack str. Before it's reduced and then calculated. So if you have 5million attack and defence you would have 5100000 and then it would be multiplied by 0.02 for you and it would just be added in calculation for attacking, defending, stealing , etc. It doesn't matter when they are on. Under smartbombs idea instead of or maybe beside of you can offer your bonus to someone temporarily for say 30min where you give the buyer your 100l attack and def bonus passivly as if they had (permanently-as if) bought you in our conventional market.
A couple lcbc (t3 or t4) put a super low price out right when a noob searches that price range. Noob farms t1 osf and gets tons of money for their range. People "rent" for a minute, unload, drop, with little charge
Awesome idea cause then people could be hired for like 2 days for a war for a lower price then they would normally be
