P v P Solution or Idea

  1. I've said it before, there is an easy solution to make a system for P versus P battles.

    Developers, real players have been asking, no begging, no pleading for individual player versus player battles.

    The battle list doesn't do it because people show up on the battle list merely based on activity, not a desire to battle.

    Instead, if there were a button or tab or spell that allowed you to activate/deactivate by choice in order to go onto the battle list, than you would know that anyone on the battle list is openly inviting you to attack.

    Developers would not need to modify in any way your criteria for who, in terms it combined statistics can show up on another's battle list from the way that it is currently determined. The people who show up on your battle list are roughly matched to your statistics.

    My thought is that the criteria for winning while on the BL is that if you are pinned while on the battle list you are automatically removed from the battle list for a period of an hour.

    Further, the person who pins you while on the battle list earns back any MITH spent while activated on the list and one MITH on top of it for every person pinned before they are pinned or they deactivate off of the battle list.

    If a person is pinned without pinning someone else, they earn back up to 14 MITH using the same formula currently used in EE wars.

    Further encouragement to be on the battle list could be that plunder could be doubled or increased by 50 percent just like doing the haunting the Escape.

    Another encouragement for being on the battle list should be keeping tally of the number of times the player pins someone and number of times they are pinned. This is far more meaningful than the current win-loss statistic that doesn't differentiate between an epic battle warrior and a real battler. Building up a battle list statistic seems like a no-brainer.

    People on KAW who want to battle want to do it on their own schedule, not have to beg or plead with owners of clans that are selecting only limited people or builds. This PVP solution would encourage experimenting with many builds.
     
  2. This is a good idea cuz devs r very focused on their EE/Chaos/Individual wars atm
    Since they like those wars so much then maybe they will actually take a tiny look at this thread :lol:
     
  3. In case I was unclear about the MITH payout when a player pins another, I mean the reward would be a net return of ONE MITH per person pinned, and a return of any MITH you spent while activated and surviving on the battle list.

    If you lose before pinning someone, then it is a return of any MITH spent while activated on the battle list UP TO a maximum of 14mith, and determined by successful hits on opponents as it currently calculated during EE wars.

    Hope that is clearer.

  6. @GRIMMLY--- no you missed the part where I said that the only way to get onto the NEW battle list would be to CHOSE to do so by either some form of new button or tab or a battle list activate spell and deactivate spell.

    So no one will be placed on the battle list who merely -just logged onto KAW - hit an EB and left.

    Instead of players hitting folks on a battle list randomly who may or may not be active - they will hit folks who are ready to rumble.

    The trick would be that folks on the battle list would need to spend xtals to be able to remain on the list before being forced off by being pinned or deactivating.

    NOTE TO DEVELOPERS -

    YOU WILL SEE A JUMP IN PEOPLE BUYING MITH AND XTALS FROM PEOPLE INTERESTED IN SINGLE COMBAT -- HINT HINT -- MORE MONEY FOR YOU FROM PEOPLE WILLING TO SPEND IT AND WHO WONT WHINE ABOUT IT!!!
