We have all heard of the recent news in Paris. And in many other countries there have been great tragedies. Today, We live in a world of so much hate. We live in a world of many opinions. We live in a world of too much violence. We live in a world where money controls us. We live in a world full of ignorant people who care too much about themselves rather than others. We live in a world where violence is used as a solution. Acts of terrorism has put the world in a state of fear but also because the media hypes it up. There will always be different sides that do not agree with each other. That cannot be prevented no matter how hard we try. The separation of sides and different favoritism of certain ideas creates enemies and we focus on our own opinions rather than everyone as a whole. We are one race and we are all human. We all face hardships and we all face triumphs. We are all the same but different at the same time. We are all humans yet special individuals. You can help make the world a better place for someone. Be more open with others and be more friendly. Not everyone can change the world in a positive way but you can change at least one person. Goal: But please when you go out today, think of something you can do that can just simply make another person smile. It can be anything you want it to be. A smile can help make someone's day better. It could even change their life in a certain way. A small step at a time and we can make the world a better place or at least a better place for someone else and yourself. Don't let change come to you but be the reason why change happens in the first place.
Please be respect and do not argue below. If you do something good please post what you did and challenge yourself to do something even better tomorrow
And yes I realize this is just a game but hopefully I helped inspire at least one person reading this. Hopefully I helped inspired someone to do something nice for someone else. The world needs to be a better place.
Was this thread really necessary? There's already 3 other threads around this topic. You don't present anything different from what anyone else is saying. This is basically a slightly extended post.
Please be respectful, I have seen the other threads and mine are not completely the same. I'm asking for people to be more helpful for one another and by responding with this its just counter productive
I'm being respectful, I didn't troll and presented my honest opinion. You misunderstand the over 100 posts for each of those threads surely your views would coincide with another KaWers or if not, partial snippets of your opinion would be spread amoungst KaWers of similar thinking.
I agree with your statement completely but if that's the point of this thread it's kind of obvious. The world is full of violence and hate. If it took a massacre for you to voice this message then something is "inconsistent". Probably the wrong word.
It's actually not that bad if you ignore the media. What are the odds of you dying from something other than natural causes? Even lower odds are that you'll die from terrorism. You have a better chance of getting struck by lightning twice at once than you do getting hurt by terrorism. Don't buy the hype. Terrorism is one of the least harmful things in terms of probability of occurrence, yet it is the single thing we spend the most on trying to (with futility) prevent. We would be much better off as a society if we invested all the money we currently spend on counter-terrorism and instead invest it in cancer research.
I simply just haven't publicized my personal opinion. And researching about world wide events partly inspired me to talk about this.
Too bad everyone only cares about terrorism when it's in a western country, when it's happened quite often recently but the only time people talk about it is Paris.
I completely understand I should have put a part in about how the media also hypes it up. But I'm trying to focus more on how people should be better to one another
