Hey, People of KaW! I was wondering how does a OSF make money (something to do with plunder wars and it's tax???) And I was also inquiring whether being a OSF is useful in a OSW? (Don't count being a Ally Bank)
OSF's were originally made as an open farm for fellow clanmates to make money. Then an exploit was found in the old war system. Hitters would be on one side, OSF's on the other. OSF's would drop pots, letting them earn plunder on hits and at the same time drive up the war tax. Then the attacking side would forfeit the war and the OSF's would get the war tax. Win, win. There are plenty of uses for a pure spy in OSW. Stealing strip targets, burning sdp, assassinating attack builds, pinning other spies, etc. The downside to pure spy vs hansel is that you can't self pin if you have money out so you have to bank it fast. You also are easier to pin because you're always open to assassinations which has the best troop loss/kill ratio. Hansels can fight from pin and force opponents to scout bomb them if they want to pin their spies.
Osf make next to nothing if u want gold play attack and eb if you want fun and to annoy people go pure spy
Yeah thankS, disregard my last comment I think I'll do 2/3 EBs and then just annoy people with banners that say: "Attack me- and I'll farm you back" always good fun
To go along with what Magoo said... Pure spies don't generate much money on steals and payouts from assassinating eb's so wait to convert until you have the money to do it all at once. Most have accomplished this by going hansel until they hlbc. Also, warring as a pure spy is about the most boring thing you could do in this game.
OSF is Open Secret Farm. Other than sabotaging a system war, or being used for pot money (you should be using your opponent:/) useless. Pure spies are another matter entirely.
