Last night South Korea was told to stop playing propaganda through speakers facing North Korea because "their speakers were louder then the North's". South Korea then refused, prompting threats of an artillery strike from North Korea. South Korea then reacted by firing 30 rounds across the border. Friday morning North Korea threatened to reduce Seoul to a "sea of fire" and has mobilized forces at the border. Kim Jung Un has threatened open warfare if seoul does not back down by 5pm local time on Saturday. What is going to happen next? North Korea does need to be destroyed i agree, but war could quickly lead to Nuclear war. That is something we do not want

Yeah North Korea is Nothing without China. They are poorly trained and their weapons couldn't hit a house from 3ft. Away. South Korea is Backed up by U.S which supplies far better weapons/equipment along with better training. Taking out North Korea would be like taking candy from a baby, or in this case Kim Jung-Un
I wouldn't necessarily say all of NK should be destroyed, when you think about it Kim Jung Lee has brainwashed them, who's fault is it really? Shoot he's convinced his people he created the Hamburger. There are many good people and many bad people in this corrupt world, but I believe it is inhumane to wipe out a country due to one or a few's actions. That's just my voice. However, if they draw first blood, NK's screwed.
I hope tensions decrease between the two, I have a friend stationed in South Korea right now and I'd hate to see anything happen.
Although US has troops stationed in South Korea(SK), just what they need, to fight two wars at once. It'll probably simmer for a while then die down like before. As I recall, the last time shells were exchanged across the border was last October, and nothing happened then either. If not, prepare for WWIII.
Couple of things . 1) the Korean War never technically ended the never had a peace treaty just a ceasefire. 2) North Korean artillery fired at a South Korean speaker system, the South Korean army then engaged In counter battery fire at the North Korean sites.

China hasnt been backing away from N Korea, they are close allies. N Korea has 2 to 1 forces over S Korea, but South has more up to date trainin and weaponry, plus the US soldiers stationed there along with the other 13 countries currently there due to wargames. If N Korea and S Korea resume their current war and break the armstice in full engagement instead of pot shots, it could mean world war 3. With russia, iran and china entering the fray on N Koreas side. Given that issue looming overhead, I doubt all out invasion will occur. That being said, Kim is feeling very pressured and helpless given his countries current state, and has been feeling he must prove he is a god to them once more. It may be just enough to cause his grand idiocy to push for war. north Korea is known for being the laughing stock of the Earth, a bag of hot air, and generally pathetic. But due to his family regime, and the amount of weapons he has that could cause a huge nuclear issue, if he were to freak out and pull the trigger a whole hell of a lot of people could die. The ONLY reason people are nervous is because hes certified insane, and has some scary weaponry
