New War Idea: Build Wars

  1. Hello! I am here to waste 2 minutes of your life hopefully... Again Itsa mea -Narwhal!

    Build Wars I know, terrible name

    What are build wars?

    Well... Its something that I came up with cause I'm really bored, but...

    Build Wars are a type of war where you have to make up a build strategy on the spot. You're old build is replaced with a totally empty one. You get a certain amount of gold, no matter what your current CS is and you have to think of a build that would work with whatever amount of gold you have. There are no allies in this gamemode, so all money will be spent on actually structures. When the war is over, your old build is returned. This gamemode will only be in stuff like Chaos Wars.

    How Long do you get to Work on a Build?

    You get an hour to think about your build, and build it. The amount of gold you get should change each times to make people refrain from using the same thing over and over again.


    What is the Amount of Gold you Actually Gain From This?

    The amount of gold you get is what you contribute to the war. Each side both get the gold, but the winning side gets mith as always.


    Couldn't We Just Make Sure We Counter Whatever Builds They're Making?

    No, you will have no access to they're stats, or anything. You will only be able to Attack or Spy on them when the match starts.


    What if I Just Didn't Build Anything?

    You would still be able to get attacked, there is no limit to how far up you can attack, and how far down during this war.


    Chaos Build Wars

    This is build wars with a twist,

    These Twists May Include:
    No Spies
    No Towers
    No (insert certain building here)
    Pre-made allies
    Unknown Stats


    Please post your thoughts on this Idea, I will answer any questions you may have on this new war. I kinda just want to see a variety in wars other than, ATTACK! ATTACK! ATTACK! SKO! So, yea...
     
  2. I like the idea. I think it could use a bit of tweaking. And I don't get that if stats don't affect ur target selection then What would b the point in designing a strategic build. Because everyone can hit everyone no matter What. :/
     
  3. You can hit everyone, but your attacks aren't always successful... So, I don't get why making a strategic build is pointless...
     
  4. I like it but you and the opponent should get the same amountof gold that way there are no unfair builds, if one person gets 100mil and the other gets 1bil than it's pretty obvious who's gonna win that fight
     
  5. You do get the same amount if gold for the match, but not the same amount for every match, so you can't do the same build every war. But they all do get the same amount if gold
     
  6. Sorta of similar to this - rather than a complete wipe of build, a choice of several pre-set ones that are balanced with one another.

    Offer a spell which allows the alteration of like 5 of the buildings to things of equal tier/level to promote strategy.

    Even more fun - this more or less ensures balanced of builds, so prestige can be utilized to match clans.

    So - the hour after signup, let's go with 2/3 of the clan has to make build decisions. Then you get your match, and can make the last third based upon opponent's current choices. This is when that spell to switch buildings comes into play too ;)
     
  7. Oh, and my solution for including current builds into this is to make current builds your essential ally bonus, and your ally bonus still applies, but cut by 50 again, so 1/2500 of what it gives.

    Some benefit to those who invest the time, but not an overwhelming amount.
