New T5 Buildings

  1. What ever next ???

A few quotes taken From take from an interview with Kenshi Arasaki
“Keep this in mind – we limit whales. When we were getting guys that were spending $20,000 a day in our game. (Editor’s note: Yes, we were incredulous about this figure too. But we double-checked with A Thinking Ape by e-mail on this and they said $20,000, as in real – not virtual – currency.) [/b]
We realized it was skewing our revenue and we realized we didn’t want to create a game community where people thought that you had to pay to win. Our games are so social that you could see people rise to the top of the leader boards because they could afford to be there. That’s actually really bad for the community. We want people to rise slowly and move up the charts and have the ability to get integrated within the communities. Our users, even with those high monetization numbers are limited to like, $150 bucks a day”
“: Because we have such good per-unit economics in terms of how our users monetize on a per user level, we control our app store ranking.
“If you’re a top tier developer on the iPhone, you will make between $1 to $3 million dollars a month before Apple’s cut. We’re a top tier developer on the iPhone.”
“We wanted to do what was best for the users, so we had some altruistic tendencies. We’re trading off monetization for the growth of the community because at the end of the day if your community isn’t healthy, your company is dead long term if you’re trying to develop a truly social game. In single player games, you can have as many whales as you want”
“: A lot of social games are not actually social, other than inviting your friends. We’ve cracked what it takes to build an inherently social game on the iPhone, and what our competitors do really well is high production values for the market. In the beginning the whole industry started out with not much social content and bad production values, and started moving up towards better production. We kind of went over into the social side of things. The thing is it’s fairly standard knowledge how to make your games richer, but not how to make your game actually social, and how to develop vibrant online communities”
“But at the end of the day we’re doing a very human thing, creating vibrant online communities that enrich people’s lives. And this is all through a phone, in a chatroom in a game that people play with their disposable time”
The full version is in the forums and well worth a read

So why T5 Buildings has the game gone flat?
    Are we all HLBC?
Will the introduction of T5 buildings create new super clans?
Will more people spend more money on this game?
Social interaction will become a thing of the past, clans are virtually dead with people spending more time item hunting than chatting.
Don’t get caught having a chat when the items on haunting come up you won’t get a second chance!
The idea of the new EB’s was and I quote “This EB was designed this way to encourage greater clan participation. Please understand that this is the hardest EB to play to date and the rewards are accordingly just as powerful.”
This was TBO as far as I could see all it was designed to get as many people as possible using xstals as quickly as possible.
The introduction of new building will only divide what is a already divided community it to those that have and those that do not I foresee a lot of people giving up and saying why why why I’ve not even got to HLBC T4 yet ! And what happens to new people joining KaW?
Given the content of the interview I have read maybe I’m missing some thing but these two do not seam to jell ?

  2. T6 Is next after t5.

  3. Why keep the same old game for the older players who have committed to playing this game for as long as they have?

Updates are mainly for them, I understand your not HLBC yet, but imagine how long some players have been. They got to keep the game interesting to the older players too.

  4. When I started playing this game t4 had just come out. People were doing exactly as you are doing; complaining about how the gap between the top and the bottom will extend irreparably.

The top players that were heading up the lb then are now gone, I have grown and am hlbc.

The game evolves and continues to do so. Nothing is going to change with a new level of building other than an extension to the existing gameplay.

  5. So are we addressing the questions asked or just expressing opinions :?

  6. I was LCBC T3, when T4 came out but objected to PWARS as they destroyed clan loyalty; so I am half way to HLBC I suppose

  7. O and yes does anyone know what these T5 buildings are ?? :?

  8. The t5 can help you be LC faster. Build one and you plunder should be higher so you can get money faster overall. Imagine how long it would take to hlbc with all T3.

  9. The game has to progress. We were all at the point in time where we were not HLBC, it takes time. If anything, T5 will help those mid range players because ebs will go faster giving a chance to hit more of the items each day. Who says that you have to be HLBC to build T5? Last I checked the devs never stated the requirements to buy it.

  10. I think the teir 2 spy and teir 2 defense spy buildings will finally have their lvl 4 available just like the teir 1 spy and spy defense buildings

  11. It's normal they update the game...Many will leave if nothing change over time.

  12. like 4 like many may leave because of the changes not all changes are for the better

  13. Are they making another spy building too?

  14. the game is growing and growing its not our choice if u wanna leave the game leave as u wish but whoever have the commitment and have time and ability to take up the challenges in the game then well play kaw . U may be invited to the game u may have not its u who really started the game so what if t5 cames out haunting came out when I started thue game and I was not proud of it and now after few months im doing it b2b . It may take 5-6 months or more to build t5 who cares just build them or quit

  15. Bbcode mess up.

  16. The Forums are here so you can have a say or input or what ever you want to call it :D

Into how the game progresses you never know your ideas here may just influence how the game changes in the future

  17. I'm trying very hard to be positive about these changes, and lets be honest not many people actually know what the new buildings may be. I can (here we go ;) ) remember b4 T4 buildings and new Pots Etc. and not all the changes have been in my opinion for the good of the community as a whole but nearly 3 years down the road I'm still here  just wondering if I'd have put my thought and ideas here sooner would the Pwars have happened Allie re-hire etc. etc. One idea I did have which is way to late now rather than new buildings Why not new more powerful upgrades to existing builds

  18. Would like to see more building variety rather than just straight up better buildings.

  19. I said this before and will say it again, the veterans that have played this game for years deserve something new. I have been hlbc for a year now on my main and it took A LOT of TIME and WORK. Are the game makers supposed to just let everyone be even, regardless of how new? Halt all updates because the newer players want to get hlbc before you release another task for them? That makes no sense. Put in the time and you will get there... I was not upset when T4 came out and I wasnt hlbc yet, and much the same as everyone who is competetive in this game I wanted to get there faster than others and had a late start. It's about dedication.... I don't understand this "divide between bigger and smaller players" you and many others keep speaking of. Sure we can't all hang out in the same clan at all times and do the same eb's, but I talk to and have trained many small players throughout my time on gaw. I can see the complaint from a smaller players perspective, but you are not all considering the perspective of the players that have already played for years and have finished off hlbc long ago and are waiting for something to keep them busy..

  20. Exactly malignant. I agree 100%.

I should be HLBC.... WHY did I reset so many times??
