He's never coming back. I watched as the men in white carried him to who-knows-where. He's never loved you dummy! my mind screamed but my heart protested. Did he ever love me? -It all started the day before Halloween- "Oof!" I bumped into someone and I stumbled to the ground. "I'm so so sorry, miss." a deep voice said, holding out a hand for me. I took it and he helped me up. Dusting off myself, I looked up and caught his eyes. Those dark green eyes. It was a while before I could tear myself away from his eyes and look at his other features. The black hair, the lopsided grin, the toned muscles. "I'm Zachery." he smiled that lopsided grin again and i felt my heart just MELT. "Um, Aria." I muttered, my name sounding pathetic next to his. "Mmm, nice name." "T-Thanks." what was wrong with me today? "What is you're next class, Miss Aria?" he cocked his head to look into my dull hazel eyes. I inserted a lock of brown hair behind my ear, "Uh, English." "Coincidence, that's mine too, I'll walk you there." There's that grin again. 1-2-3.. My heart melted. I've known him for five minutes. How can you be in love within five freakin minutes? ?

-----ZAC's POV----- "Mission?" a voice chirped behind my ear. I spun around and was greeted with two arms thrown around my neck. "Wha-" I staggered backward and bumped into Henry. "Hiya, Zaccykins!" the voice chirped again. "Wha-Sallie?!" I wrestled her grip around me and stared at her, shocked. She acted like nothing happened, "What Mission? It sounds cool, tell me?" she pouted her lips. "Uh, it's nothing." "Oh, whatever. I hear you have a new girlfriend...Aria, was it?" she looked at me through her eye lashes. Aria? Well, yeah, she was beautiful, but I was a Chosen, I wasn't going to fall in love with a mortal, especially not with a descendant of Kadier. I had a Mission to do. "What? No, she's not my girlfriend." Sallie smiled, "Ooh, really? Then can I be?" I looked at her, unsure whether to feel flattered that the most popular girl in school was into me, or disgusted that she was such a sl*t. "Yo, man, duty calls." Henry tapped me on the shoulder and pointedly glanced at his watch. It was time for Pre-Saga #1 "Ooh! Can I come with?" Oh, right, Sallie's still there. "No." I said, and grabbed Henry, leaving her gaping.
