Dear Forums, I recently got to thinking about the last shard event, and how fun it was, and decided to give my thoughts on how we could better improve events like it int he future. First off, is the fact that even if you had Zero shards you could still payout shards when hit. I think that was a bad call, because that means that you could login and farm shards from your alts, with their pots dropped and rake in the rewards. When a person is Zeroed in shard, they should stop paying. The only way to get shards by exploitation (because we will all have those losers that cheat, and take advantage of the system) is to attack others, gain the shards, and funnel them to their main hunter.(pain in the ass, and ceases to be worth it to farm your alts.) NERF +1 :!: Secondly, i believe that the Event, instead of a Opt out system, a Opt in system. Before you guys sit here and say this is a bad idea, you must understand that the game has evolved, and now we have epic battles, and that has brought a newer generation of players, who enjoy the casual hitting a eb every now and then. I know some would hate the idea of a in method, but PvP is a very competitive type of gameplay, and some do not like it! let the people who do not want to participate have a choice, as it may to be too much then they can handle :| Thirdly, The shard loss was way too high, you could have almost a thousand shards and go to bed, wakeup and have 100. It happened to me daily, and it was frustrating as hell, and prevented me from really progressing in the event. Yes there should be a loss of shards, but it should not be that damn high. And last of all, i believe that there should have been a hard multiplier payout, when you war. War is a pvp type too, and i think either a shard payout for winning, or maybe even a shard pot that adds up based on the actions, the shards won from hitting a enemy in war would be nearly doubled, And there would be a Shard Tax. The shard tax takes some of the shards, and when you win, is divided up between the winning party. And if a war is when the warriors get Astral Glim. So those are my thoughts on the event, and what i would like to see differently for the next event. Please feel free to express your opinions on these improvements, and i will make a list of people who support them, and if it is high enough, i'll email to dev's. Please comment if you support below. Shard loss was definitely way too high, the second I started dropping an ok amount of shards people were all over me Also make it less p2w, if you weren't buying glim and xtals there is no way you were getting 2k shards lol.
That's why I think warring should get ya glim if ya with . it would be available for people who can't pay, but are good warriors.
Yes. Because if someone hits you, you will smash them. And how many of your dozens of alts did you farm?
Hitting your alts (especially when they have low shard counts) is hardly worth it. When they have low shards they pay 2-3 per hit with blade and 5 with blade and ward. It's much more efficient to hit other players. Me and a friend attempted to gain hoards of shards on our alts then planned to farm them to huge payouts, but quickly learned that it was nearly impossible to keep them on alts. If you don't self pin (especially on hansels) you would get tons of inc every hour. I experimented and changed my alts name to troll after selfie (aka skinnyminny/alison) released the fact I was in the top 10. I received 2.5k inc day one after and 1.8k the next day. Without the ability to selfpin on my alt it got eaten alive. I do believe the shard loss was ridiculous. Towards the end of the event I would lose 230 shards a hit, and people would make 460 a hit off of me. Absolutely absurd that they can make a tier by hitting me twice.
Hitting alts would be good for people who want to avoid inc, by hitting alts I'd think you could reach the top 1k. Also yes, hansels got molested in this event lol. Fix that devs I made the mistake of using this as my main account during the event which was a huge mistake lol. Att builds were hugely favoured compared to the average hansel
I didn't hit my alts. The alts I didn't want shards on paid 1-2 shards max when I could hit others for 60,80 plus shards. And I couldn't farm the ones WITH shards because they needed the reward aswell.
Atk buolds advantaged? U crazy? I gave up collecting shards on my atk build because I didn't want to pinmyself 24/7. My hansels could drop PS and be invincible basically.
I loved hansels who thought that. I stripped 7 during the event who dropped to ps. Also you can scout Bomb them, XTAL up and steal them to repin if they had under 3m or so sdt. It was pretty much pin 24/7 or be a top lber, or else lose all your shards while you were out of pin... Or be skinnyminny and drop to a castle build lol.
The most inc i had during that event was 184 within 2hours By people who were 4x bigger than me but anyways, support. And about the hitting alts thing, they barely did drop shards.
Hitting alts wasn't worth it when hansels and ee attack builds in war clan paid way better,just gotta worry about the lesser members of theses war clans that get butthurt and alliance stripping cause they caught feelings... I've seen war clan members acting like sissys putting names on their own walls or banners and actually stating the "5 hit rule" If I found someone paying over 50 they got xstals until they didn't pay so well... I would lose a thousand or so sleeping but I could make hundreds an hour or more when I wanted. Losing that much was part of the event and mad it a challenge. My only complaint was dtw it was so frustrating people would have the sword and sit in pin for hours but that's how you kept the sword Solution shorten the length of holding the sword or make it pay better above 50% bars
I don't think it should pay better above 50%, then the lbers would just dominate more because of ability to skim from full.
My biggest thing I noticed is the first 3-4 days of the event were useless. I could have totally ignored the event then come in towards the end for the increased payout and still made top 10. In the future if the events are tremendously long, last few days is when I'll try. No point in staying up, putting a target on your head, and making (if you're lucky 5-10 a hit day one) when you can make 200 towards end.
Maybe holding the sword, it could increase the rate of regen... That would force people to hit every 5 mins instead of 15, and they'd be forced out of KO more. Counter to this is people would be able to get more hits in, but could just be an added bonus to having the sword. Would definitely increase devs nobility sales for wards in any case. Just brainstorming.
If we all remember the double regain day. Maybe if your opted In it takes effect. It would be harder to pin with a sword
