If anyone here knows anything about laptops or computers then I would love to have your help! I have a dell Inspiron and it's only a year and a half old, but this morning, while I was trying to get some work done, the wifi crashed. After that was all fixed I tried reconnecting and going to the Internet but it wouldn't work. Essentially, it still shows me all the wifi signals and allows me to connect to them after some prodding, yet when i do connect it tells me there is no internet accessibility. On top of all this, it's just being generally unresponsive. I've turned it off and back on multiple times and have tried to connect to different wifi sources but whatever I do I cannot manage to connect to the Internet. If you know what's wrong or have any suggestions on what I could do then please let me know, I would really appreciate it!
Power cycle your modem and if the problem persists contact your local service provider.. Unless you just upgraded to Windows 10 and that would be your problem right there..
Or check to make sure you IPv4/6settings are correct, make sure your LAN settings are set to auto detect, unless you use a static IP.. But if you knew what I was talking about, you wouldn't be asking Kaw forums... Soooo yeah *Or maybe just maybe it's time for a new laptopî„…
With Windows 10 it would show me everyone else's wifi except for mine.. Or it would briefly show me mine but would never let me connect.. Just google issues with Windows 10, it's hilarious... Went back to 8.1 and no issues...
Dell inbuilds obsolescence into their equipment, most Dell's only last about a year. Buy Hewlett-Packard.
If you cleanse a laptop with bleach it will turn a black laptop white.. Possible side effects are the computer is destroyed but that's about it
Macs suck your issue could be the Internet u can rule that out if other devices can use same wifi from their u need to check if hardware or software problem (likely software but I feel it's best to check) checking can be a little more complex... Then issue with it being slow no idea what hardware it is but malware can easily slow down a computer have you ran a virus scan?
Update drivers, clean registry, clean cache, flame AshtonRocks for quoting OP. It would also be nice if you could share the laptop model (there are quite a few dell inspiron models and your Operating System)
Most Alienware is overpriced not that great tbh. I'd say MSI or Asus is a better choice. Asus for casual usage or gaming, MSI for gaming. As for OP's issue, I've gone from 8.1 to 10 and haven't had this issue yet. Some good responses here to try out, not gonna bother retyping them.
Have had my Dell for close to 3 years now with no issues. My HP lasted me a year and a half with constant overheating problems. Must just be luck lol
Windows 7 is the best Windows since XP. As for your issue, it's a Windows 10 bug, which is yet another reason why I refuse to "upgrade" Also try the following after opening cmd if you get connected Ipconfig/release Ipconfig/renew Flushdns -t
Win 10 automatic updates strike again! A few things you can check easily with a littlehelp from google are... Log into your router and compare your settings to what your model reccomends. Disable the network adapter, then re-enable .
Windows 10 legit corrupted my C: Drive And broke WinPcap I had to reinstall my DVD/CD rewriter to fix my computer :/
