Tell me your favorites! thank you. Mirror Mirror Mirror mirror on the wall, Who is that girl, I cannot recall. She stands there, looking at me, And I look back, it cannot be... Her eyes betray her icy demeanor, To reveal all her crippling fears. It scares me to know she looks like me, That mystery girl, ripping at the seams. She is a shadow lurking in the back of my mind... A girl I might have known once upon a time. Mirror mirror on the wall, Who is that girl, I cannot recall.
Where I'm From I am from lavender, From Violettes and carrige rides, I am the aroma of croissants and fresh bread. (Lightly toasted, soft, it tasted like sheer heaven) I am from stylized lily, the Beech tree whose black engraved scars resemble The hardships of the past. I am from Maple Syrup and endless snow, from sleigh rides and log cabins. I am from dwellers of passing minutes and the clever who take advantage, from Stand up straight! And Try hard, work hard! I'm from I can take the truth But I cannot take a lie, And handfuls of quotes I have now memorized. I'm from Kids Say the Darndest things and Brady Bunch, Flapjacks and rootbeer floats. From the gun my grandfather had when he served in Korea, The awards my father won in the Army and Navy. In the darkest corners of my attic, Taking shelter from moths and mice, A swirl of memories With grins on people's faces, their images immortalized. I am from these people- Their souls like petals- That make me a flower.
Stealthy Black Wolf I am a prize, a trophy, human game Yet, I am the boss on this forest terrain. A stealthy black wolf in search of a meal The dark sylvan shadows help me conceal. Hungry pack at my side, I know where they went. An elk her precedes us, we follow their scent. We howl go the milky round bowl in the sky, and the eerie echo pulls our spirits high. This is our motivater, to know the hunt is real, to keep going, to get our next meal. "Surround them!" I say They don't hesitate to obey. I lunge at the weakest, the simplest kill. The others join in with their murderous skills. Shortly after the caribou's death I immediately feast on the poor animal's flesh. I am the stealthy black wolf, at the top of the forest food chain. Unfortunately, to survive, I must inflict pain.
Love That Dog Red and white fur with black earrings to match Asleep in my snow fort, blanketed by snow. Triangular, floppy ears perk giving an alert expression. At the sound of my approach, she stumbles out groggily and walks on the crunching white mounds, to where I eagerly await her. Getting on hind legs, and pawing on mine, just asking, until I squat down and pet her fur. She licks my face in a gesture of love. I give her a kiss to show the feeling is mutual.
