After buying my tickets today for Captain America: Civil War, a discussion broke out amongst several friends in, and out of, game about the Marvel Universe that Disney is currently doing. Here's a few topics discussed and I'd like to see what some of you think as well. (Please keep the discussion on point and civil.) 1.) What characters would you like to see that Disney Marvel hasn't portrayed yet? 2.) Will Fox and Sony ever finally give up/share their rights to all the other major characters (like X-men, Fantastic Four, etc) 3.) Disney seems to be snatching up major actors/actresses for these roles, who in Hollywood is missing from the list and who would you cast them as?
Beyonder / The Living Tribunal / Runner / Mephisto / One-Above-All! Some of the characters I'd like to see. They've got amazing back stories. Sadly the marvel characters we see in the movies are limited to the few names that the show casuals / non comic readers know about.
Galactus. And yes...im completely aware that technically he was in Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer. But was that a representative version of the character? Or was the one million mile-wide cloud-based version of the “character” Galactus in name only? As for Sony and Fox, Stan Lee should just tell them how its gonna go down...or else *Shakes fist* As for who should be cast as Galactus? I'd probably suggest Steven Segal...always with the serious look that man is...perfect for the role But given the reality of that happening is slim to none, i'd most probably suggest Ron Perlman (Hellboy) as a good pick to play Galactus.
I agree with those choices you listed, but I disagree that the characters portrayed up till now are FULL of obscure characters from the comics, the most recent being Night Nurse who debuted in Daredevil then was seen in Jessica Jones and will be in the upcoming Dr. Strange movie. Jessica Jones is also a non-mainstream character.
Cable One that most assuredly has not is Cable, despite being one of the most visible X-characters of the last 25 years. It's difficult to find a more prominent X-Men character that hasn't been in a movie yet? The time-traveling offspring of Cyclops headlined his own series and multiple incarnations of X-Force, and yet has gotten relatively little other media love outside of a few video games and a handful of episodes of the '90s X-Men cartoon. But if they keep making X-Men movies, surely his number will get called?
Benedict Cumberbatch should be exceptional as Dr. Strange, which just released its first trailer this week. Looks like it will be filmed similar to the mind-twisting Inception. I wish Marvel would go for a bit of a darker vibe, that is where DC will eventually edge them out...
Have heard the same thing, but im not holding my breath. Considering Hollywoods legendary reputation for being able to disassemble even the most simplest of story lines and plots and vomit up something completely horrid and resembling not even a shred of its former self. As i recall, they dropped Nightshade out of X-Men movies as they were introducing Beast. The reason being that apparently they didn't want to "confuse" audience's with two blue characters on screen. -_-

I know it has been disclaimed that Miles Morales aka Spider-Man is not coming up as it was first thought but being i am a huye Spider-Man fan i would love to have a multiverse show down. Having dif. Spiders on the same story line has been several Times my favorite stories so why not bring Peter,When,miles,doc oc well superior spidey etc. I know they cant bring a whole bunch but why not have some of that fun. Either that or create Spider city.
I would absolutely love to see Katherine Winnick as Captain Marvel, she is an excellent actress from Vikings. I would guess the rights to fantastic four would be given up after that recent shambles of a movie but I doubt x-men will ever be handed to Disney, it makes WAY too much money for them to easily part from it! It is a marvel discussion. Not to mention, marvel planned this out, before they started, the 14 thousand movies threat are being released for ultimate movies for Infinity Gauntlet. DC, just tried and although I enjoyed it (just like I enjoyed transformers because it was a thing I grew up on and got to see it life like) Batman vrs Superman was not their best work. They are trying to mimic Marvel now. Back on topic.... I don't know if there are certain characters I want to see that they are not planning on doing but I would like to see certain story lines done. There was a story called the brood that teamed up ghost rider, gambit and I think it was either wolverine or Spider-Man... Loved that little trilogy of comics. I would like to see a remake of ghost rider It would be amazing if they made peter pertrelli (pre meetibg dad) in the marvel world, would be crazy to watch him control those powers..
Namor, Adam Warlock (will likely be in Infinity War), The Watcher. Silver Surfer's rights should be transferred so he is finally done well. Its hard to imagine the Infinity War story without the surfer.
